Argos click and collect only now!!

Another blow for people that aren't online.
Our Argos is now a click and collect only inside Sainsburys.
It's just a collection point now. You can't go in and order goods like you used too?
You just collect.
Presume it's the same everywhere?

Are you sure they ain't having a refurb?
I was made redundant from Argos last week and our store along with another one in the area is going to be a click and collect store just whilst they have the refurb?

Altho these stores are supposed to be goin smaller but will still have tills.

This was the msg on the argos site for our local store. They have got rid of loads of staff ready for the refurb.

I know Walsall is another one having a refurb from yesterday so if your local store is Walsall then don't worry it will be back open in 2 weeks.

The argos stores have closed.
It's now click and collect only. It's inside Sainsburys now for good.
No stand alone argos shops here.
One is now a pet food shop and the other is empty. Been closed and empty for ages now.

I just shop elsewhere as it’s no longer convenient.

Not like that in my local Argos. Staff are really helpful so I hope it doesn't change.

Are you sure you can't in store order? Ours is in a Sainsbury's but you can still order in store (as well as click and collect)

Some stores might have gone to collection only but not all. Ours is still on the local high street and you can walk in and buy

Ours has moved into Sainsbury's but you can still order things there. There are screens to order on or tills to pay at if needed.

Ours is in a Sainsbury's but you can order in there on their tablets like always. Suits me as Sainsbury's is open for longer than the argos shop was!

My local 'big' Sainsbo's has an instore Argos, with order and collection points - they also do eBay pick ups

Well they're a business and can run however they see fit. But since they've been in Sainsbury's they've been rubbish, as they don't carry the stock any more. But it was part of an era that's gone I'm afraid.

Always amazes me the whole Argos catalogue fits behind the screen and you get your order in 5 mins. I do love, but don’t use, Argos

My high street Argos was still open last weekend.

There is a normal high street Argos standalone store where my parents live. Where I live it is in Sainsbury’s and has at least eight tablet stations to browse from and usually about three staff working. The hours are actually better than the old store as it’s open later during the week - until 8pm.

Same in our town. The big Argos shut and now only option is to order online and collect from Sainsbury's.

It's not as good as, collection would often be same day but now its a case of waiting for it to get delivered to store

Our Argos has been in Sainsbury's for years now, it still operates in the same way as when it was a city centre store.

I wish they still did the specific item numbers you could look up, it's really annoying to find what you want online and then go into the store to use the screen and search all over again, especially if it's something technical where there are a lot of similar sounding products.

When did that go? I’ve definitely used the product code fairly recently whilst in a Sainbury’s Argos.

Mines the same. I prefer it to the old shop in town because free park at the door and if it's something big you can use a Sainsbury's trolley to take it out to the sr.

I worked at Argos whilst it was still Argos and the difference working under Sainsburys was shocking.

I think a lot of stand alone stores will be going sadly once all the leases are up.

There's been so many changes lately, even since I left there's been more announcements to my now ex colleagues.

It will be really sad to lose Argos from the high st.
