Who has right of way at this mini roundabout?

I’ll do my AIBU after a few comments

Who has right of way here?

Car a if it’s as close to the roundabout compared to the other 2 is it looks on here

BrightOrangeDahlias · 09/01/2025 16:08

Which direction are the cars indicating?

tilypu · 09/01/2025 16:09

It's a roundabout... A, because they are actually there, then depending on timing it would probably be C then B

Wendy83 · 09/01/2025 16:10

I'd say it's who got to the roundabout first

ValenciaOrange · 09/01/2025 16:10

Car A

HappyAsASandboy · 09/01/2025 16:10

Car A as it has arrived at the roundabout and looks to have time to pull on to the roundabout before Car C arrives at the roundabout.

If Car C is going very fast it would be sensible of Car A to wit because Car A will be found at fault of Car C pulls on and hits the drivers side of Car A.

GuineaPigWig · 09/01/2025 16:11

Whoever decided to put a mini-roundabout on a T junction is at fault. Always cause confusion.

UtterlyUnimaginativeUsername · 09/01/2025 16:12

Car A. It has time to get out in front of Car C (assuming it's being driven at a reasonable speed), and Car B should be giving way to Car A regardless.

clevercloggsadventures · 09/01/2025 16:12

Car C, because they are going faster as they don’t need to slow down to check if it’s clear on their right…or A if they are checking carefully how fast C is going

ReflectAndLearn · 09/01/2025 16:13

BrightOrangeDahlias · 09/01/2025 16:08

Which direction are the cars indicating?

Car A indicating right. Cars B and C going straight ahead.

OP posts:
JustinOtherdad · 09/01/2025 16:13

Where are the cars signalling?

LIZS · 09/01/2025 16:14

A , even if it had reached the roundabout B should give way to A on its right.

ReflectAndLearn · 09/01/2025 16:15

So, car A is here as C arrives.

ReflectAndLearn · 09/01/2025 16:13

Car A indicating right. Cars B and C going straight ahead.

In that case, B should give way to A. Unless A will impede C, in which case A should wait for C and B does not need to give way.

Which car were you and who drove into you / did you drive into? 😁

GuineaPigWig · 09/01/2025 16:16

Car A has right of way. Car C might be annoyed with you, but they should be slowing down anyway cos Car B (who has right of way over them) could be turning right and forcing them to stop anyway.

TequilaNights · 09/01/2025 16:16

Whichever car enters the roundabout first, as a guess depending on speed and other factors, car A.

myplace · 09/01/2025 16:16

Should be A. However C usually expects to sail on by.

C should take their foot off the accelerator as they are approaching a junction. If they do, it’s A, C, B and everyone gets through quicker than if everyone waits for C before going.

BeachRide · 09/01/2025 16:16

Technically A, but in reality they should wait because B and C will be going a lot faster. Safety first.

ThereIsIron · 09/01/2025 16:17

Without seeing the signage I'd say car A. It may also be the case that there's signage to say car B and car C should give way to car A. A link to Google maps would be useful.

DogInATent · 09/01/2025 16:17

A, as shown.
But I'm only here for the dripfeed to find out you were driving car A and some how managed to hit the back of Poirot driving the invisible car D not shown.

Frazzledandfried · 09/01/2025 16:18

Car A - car C should not pull out onto the roundabout until it is clear whether car A exiting there or going all the way round

Car A as it is already on the roundabout.

Tumbler2121 · 09/01/2025 16:18

They have equal rights but car A is nearest, if it was on the roundabout it would have priority.

Google ..."All cars have equal priority at a mini roundabout. The purpose of a mini roundabout is to give every driver an equal opportunity to pass through, which helps keep traffic moving"

GuineaPigWig · 09/01/2025 16:19

clevercloggsadventures · 09/01/2025 16:12

Car C, because they are going faster as they don’t need to slow down to check if it’s clear on their right…or A if they are checking carefully how fast C is going

There is a car coming on the right of car C. It’s just because it’s a T junction it’s actually from directly opposite.
