What's the best hotel you have ever stayed in? We have a big anniversary coming up this year - and want to celebrate in style. I think mine is probably Giraffe Manor in Kenya.

I have read and seen on TV lots about Mashpi lodge - but as we are going without the kids Ecuador is probably a bit far.

Real life experiences please.

Tossup between Hotel dos Cataratas, Iguazu Falls, Brazil and Victoria Falls Hotel Zimbabwe.

The 4 Season's resort in Punta Mita Mexico. It was so fancy. DH won the trip with work.

Fairmont Lake Jasper and Banff in winter - like a dream 😍😍

The Datai in Langkawi. Really beautiful. Would probably only want to spend 4 or 5 nights there though before moving on to other hotels in Malaysia

Meisters Hotel Irma in Merano (Meran) northern Italy. Fabulous. Spa treatments, multiple pools, ample loungers with free drink poolside before lunch/dinner, fruit skewers, sunglasses polishing service, really great food, lovely setting and people.
