Eldest child is ill. Was up until midnight with him. Then the youngest woke about an hour ago and is still screaming.

I have endometriosis and I've had a mega bleed over the carpets so I've been cleaning and jumped in the shower. Glad it's Friday though.

I'm awake for no apparent reason. I wake up at least twice a night at the moment with cold sweats and/or a hot flush. I just want to be able to sleep normally again and not be exhausted.

a job. Feeling utter crap.

Have you tried taking magnesium glycinate tablets before bed? It's great for helping peri/meno sleep issues (if that's the cause) x

I went to bed at 10 and started drawing in my sketch book, lost track of time and it was midnight.Ive woken up again now. Justctold DS to keep the noise down (18, video games). Glad I’m WFH tomorrow.

I've got a stinking cough & cold that's woken me up, now I'm laying here awake with my brain buzzing, thinking about my husbands PET scan result appointment next week 😔

I'm awake (again) 🙄 I've had a few curve balls thrown at me this week and sleep is always the first thing that goes up the wall when I'm in this sort of state. I don't sleep much but this past week has been the worst I've had in a long time!

Yes. Me and DC5 had a sickness bug Tues night/yesterday morning. It's my birthday today and on the way to the restaurant we were going to for tea, DC8 vomited everywhere in the car. Been lying on a beanbag on his floor since 7.45pm. Partner went to work at 11pm, back home by 1am. He's currently up and down to the bathroom vomiting and shitting simultaneously.

I’m up feeding 4m DD. She slept for an hour initially, I fed her back to sleep but then couldn’t get back off myself. She did another hour then awake again 😴

I had a c-section about 4 hours ago. During which I copiously vomited, until the medication kicked in. I’m exhausted after being in the hospital all day, Nil By Mouth. It’s 7,000,000 degrees on the ward, and the other women are making too much noise for me to sleep. One woman keeps using her phone, and won’t shut up. It’s gonna be a ridiculously long night. So you’re not alone!

DH is lucky, he’s been able to go home,
sleep in his own comfortable, temperature controlled bed, in complete and utter silence. It’s ridiculously unfair how we do all the hard shit, and still have to suffer afterwards.

I'm a single parent of toddler twins plus 1 - both the twins are sick so im running relays to the bathroom emptying sick bowls

Mmmm. Daughter in different country has sick bug and called sounded like death. Worrying about her. Work and business worries keeping me awake too. Elderlies in family health issues and how to manage long term. Sick pets. Was dozing on the sofa. Tried to watch Rivals wichhonestly was not doing it for me. Listening to rain is nice. Just folded a pile of laundry and put another load up to dry. Best go to bed proper now as 7am start.

My 15-year-old knocked on my door at 1.30… because she wanted something and ‘thought I was awake’. 😬 She’s having a sleepover so I couldn’t get too mad!
Haven't slept since and I’ve got lots on tomorrow.
I remember the bad nights with little ones OP… hope things settle down!

I’m premenstrual and always get disturbed sleep at this point in my cycle. Woke up hot and hungry at 2am and I’m pissed off, as I have to get up at 6am and will be grouchy tomorrow.

I have no idea. I swear they love to torture women for funsies. I’m absolutely melting, just want to rip all of my clothes off, but I can’t, cos I’m still totally numb. But then it doesn’t help when some women are completely selfish, and blind to others needs, and spend ages on the phone at 3am! 🙄

Another experiencing the angst of far away grown up children here. I’ve had a number of increasingly drunken texts from student DD on a Halloween night out. Not much I can do, but it isn’t conducive to peaceful slumber.

Yes. I've got a 6 month old who's waking every 2 hours. I had a counselling session about his traumatic birth yesterday and now whenever I do manage to drop off between his screaming sessions I'm having a nightmare about that.
