AIBU to think this is bizarre?
I thought it was perhaps a bit funny at first but being a chronic over thinker i’m now wondering if this is a bit odd?

I went upstairs while my 4, almost 5 y/o brushed his teeth before bed and I had a wee at the same time. I got up and turned around to flush and hadn’t fully pulled my leggings up yet. Next thing I know he’s planted a kiss on my butt cheek.

AIBU to think Is this weird? Or is this just normal unpredictable random child behaviour?

I'd say it was probably a random impulsive thing, I would have a word with him though and tell him that it's inappropriate to do that as it's a private area etc.

He has no idea this isn’t appropriate so no, not weird at all. He loves you and wanted to kiss you, that’s all he was thinking. It’s a bit weird that you think it’s weird.
Start to talk about private parts being private in the coming days, he’ll learn what’s appropriate and what’s not.

Not at all. It's appropriate for children to know the correct names for their parts and that it's private. No great detail is needed, just a chat.

If you think it's normal to wee in front of a child of that age then surely you believe he has no concept of what is and isn't private.

How many parents pretend bite their little ones bum cheek or their chubby leg? I did. If my 4 year old bit my bum cheek I would probably laugh and say “oooh cheeky” or something similar.

As PP said he sees it the same as an arm or a leg.
