Tried paramount. It's not for me. Any suggestions?

Apple TV

TigerRag · 28/09/2024 13:39

Disney plus

mum2jakie · 28/09/2024 13:53

You've just missed a Disney+ offer for £1.99 per month for three months. I've reinstated mine ready for Jilly Cooper series starting in October!

MasterBeth · 28/09/2024 13:57

How the fuck are we supposed to know?

What do you like watching? What don't you like? Why is Netflix not for you? Why is Paramount + not for you? What services do you have?

I've stopped eating chicken. Tried fish. Not for me. Any suggestions?

Someone woke up on the wrong side of the bed!! Are you this snappy in real life?

NeverEnoughPants · 28/09/2024 14:02

If you have a Tesco clubcard, you can get 3 months of Disney+ with ads for £7.50 worth of clubcard vouchers. Imo it's definitely worth it.

Ihateslugs · 28/09/2024 14:13

Maybe do without any paid for tv like I do? I enjoy watching tv in the evenings while I crochet but can find enough on the basic channels. I tend to record dramas to watch once the series has finished in case I miss one while out. So I always have something to watch, my recording box is about 75% full at the moment as there seem to have been a lot of new series starting.

There are loads of free deals to get Apple TV, I'd try that. Disney and NOW also good if you can find an offer. I just rotate: treat them mean and keep them keen (Now are particularly likely to email you with cheap deals if you cancel them).

MsTeatime · 28/09/2024 14:33

I'm considering cancelling Netflix because they're now charging me to watch adverts on the subscription I've had forever. I've got two things I want to watch and then it's gone. Apple is good.

TheHullabaloo · 28/09/2024 14:37

Admittedly we have a lot of streaming platforms, I'd say we watch Apple TV the most.

Agree.

Livinginaclock · 28/09/2024 14:39

Disney+
I have all of them though and watch Netflix and Prime the most.

Blunt maybe but she's not wrong 😂

Paisleydad · 28/09/2024 14:42

Free view or Freesat (if you have a dish)?

No extra monthly fees.

BBC iPlayer, ITV, Channel 4 and Channel 5 players which all come at no extra cost have hours and hours and hours of stuff on there including films.

More there than I could possibly watch even if I wanted to.

minipie · 28/09/2024 14:43

Why not try just Freeview and iplayer for a while and see if it’s enough for you?

On apple I have enjoyed the following, some more so than others, but all worth a watch in my opinion:

Slow Horses
The Morning Show
Lessons in Chemistry
For All Mankind
Ted Lasso
Silo
Severance
Bad Sisters
Dark Matter
Invasion
Hijack
Shining Girls
Foundation

@DreamW3aver , I often find blunt actually just means rude. Why be mean and make someone who's just sat at home of a weekend asking a perfectly innocent question feel a bit shit, there's just no need. I never understand why if a thread doesn't interest someone, they don't scroll on and find one that does, why the need to put someone down?
