Wimbledon ballot - another Oasis style balls up?

Pun intended!

I'm having a mare getting into this and wondered how others are getting on.

It got to the point of wanting to verify my email but no verification email came through. This was after several attempts of waiting in line with it counting down.....

It's all depressingly familiar but surely it can't be as bad as last weekend?

I've never tried to get on the ballot before so unsure if this is usual.

I couldn't get through yesterday but tried this morning at 9am and got through fine. You have loads of opportunities before the 16th closing date.

LIZS · 03/09/2024 12:05

It was very slow yesterday evening, probably because emails had just gone out, but got there eventually.

Shitzngiggles · 03/09/2024 12:06

I went on this morning and had no problems. Took minutes.

HunterHearstHelmsley · 03/09/2024 12:10

Absolutely no issues for me. Whole process took about 2 minutes. Have you checked your junk? My verification email went there.

coolmum123 · 03/09/2024 12:22

I had no issues other than waiting in the waiting room. Got through filled everything in and submitted - got confirmation for application within minutes. Maybe more people are trying today?

DappledOliveGroves · 03/09/2024 12:25

I already had a registered account, so was fine when I entered the ballot yesterday. I didn't have to verify anything.

I did too, which is why I was a bit despondent when that came up.

Glad it worked for you all. I'll give it another bash!

Now it won't recognise my password. Have tried to change it but no emails are coming through. I could cry 😢 I really wanted to do this for my mum as a surprise.

I know this doesn't really matter to anyone here but I really hate technology I can never get it to work for me no matter how much I try and get prepared etc.

Is no-one else getting the.email verification message once they apply to the ballot and logged in?

I’m going to do it later this week. It’s usually fine and we’ve been about 50% successful over the years.

vix3rd · 03/09/2024 12:53

This is my only suggestion:
Have you checked your junk mail & trash box incase it's gone in there by mistake ?

springbabydays · 03/09/2024 12:53

Does anyone know how I can contact them please? I am sitting here in tears feeling so frustrated and helpless.

Yes I have and it's nowhere. Thank you for trying to help.

I've just done it and it was fine, email went to my spam folder though.

Airdustmoon · 03/09/2024 13:04

I did it this morning with no issues. Have you tried just signing up with a new email address?

I’ve entered the ballot every single year for the last 10 years or so and never once got tickets!!

LumpyPumpkin · 03/09/2024 13:08

You don't need to get stressed about this. The ballot doesn't close until 16th September. You have plenty of time to contact them if necessary and get it resolved.

Did you manage to log in and apply for the ballot? You should have had a message on the screen saying something along the lines of 'entry confirmed'?

If you need to contact them, go on to Wimbledon website and click three lines in left hand side and then click 'contact'.

SuperSaint · 03/09/2024 13:08

I tried last night and it was really busy so gave up and tried this morning and completed my entry quickly with no issues.

@Airdustmoon - don't give up hope. I was successful this year for the first time ever and got men's semi final tickets and had a fabulous day.

Keep trying. I entered 14 years in a row with no success then got tickets for last 3 years. Good luck!

LlynTegid · 03/09/2024 13:10

The comparison with Oasis tickets is unfair. Unfortunate difficulties you have had but as noted, closing date is not today.

Ballots are the better way, not just for Wimbledon.

Humdingerydoo · 03/09/2024 13:35

I can't verify my account either. The 'click here' thing isn't actually clickable 🤦🏻‍♀️

TubeScreamer · 03/09/2024 16:01

Worked fine for me yesterday evening

Nope couldn't even get to that point. I'll try my best to contact them.

I don’t understand the stress. It closes on the 16th. What’s the hurry?

DreamW3aver · 03/09/2024 16:24

I did it this morning, took a few minutes in the waiting bit then a minute once I got through. I didn't need any verifications but my laptop has my account details stored so goes straight in
