Adele announcing she will not be making new music for a very very long time.

This is from someone that used to like her!

1st time fine, 2nd time yawn wow long time, 3rd time get over yourself!

Yes she always takes a long break..like she said last time. Only apparently 7/ 8 was longer than planned cos of covid lol.
This time I'm guessing 15 years then lol
It's nothing new. But for fans that like her it's probably annoying waiting that long.
But they will move on now as the music probably isn't as good as each new one comes out.

I was a little surprised by the cost of her shows considering she hardly needs to charge that much.
But if people wanna pay £450 pounds for one concert..

Good on her! Introducing some balance into her incredibly successful career-driven life to concentrate on time with her family. God, some people really do hate to see others succeed, don't they? I can't imagine she gives a shiny shite about your opinion of her OP, as she's enjoying her self-made fortune. I'm clapping her from the side lines.

Really don't see the issue at all. The kind of music she releases will still be popular whenever she chooses to release more. I think it's good that she chooses to have the balance- what's the point in earning millions if you're too busy working to enjoy it.

Nothing new. So didn't make sense.
She's been enjoying her life for years and years then does some shows.

Is it hard to grasp? She enjoys having a break between albums for as long as she chooses to. Once again she will do this.

Didn't she say it at one of her concerts though? I'd guess the people who have paid to go and see her care 🫠

So what? Why would you stop liking an artist just because they don't release new music for a while? Many of my favourite artists are dead, not much chance of a new Nirvana album nowadays 😂

She's newly married, clearly happy, absolutely minted and always takes time off between albums anyway. This is not unexpected. Maybe she wants more kids, she's only 36. Good on her, whatever she intends to do with herself! She's incredibly successful, has written some fab songs that are part of global culture, now she wants to chill out. Fair enough - sounds great.

I can take or leave her, but whether you like her or not you can not argue with the fact she is a very successful artist with a huge fan base who will care about this news.

I never get the need some people feel to go out of their way to criticise artists they profess not to like/care about. It just stinks of desperation to have something/anything to talk about in their uneventful lives.

I’m not a fan so no feelings either way. But I do often wonder why the mega rich/famous don’t more often take time out to enjoy their money! I suppose because they worry about not being current anymore. But good for her I say.

That's interesting I always assumed they take plenty of time to enjoy their millions and holidays.
They like the mix of both.

She didn’t “announce” it to the press, she told the people at her last Munich concert she’d be having a break after the vegas residency has ended. They are people that obviously care as they were there!
i don’t see why this needed a thread if I’m honest. Just another case of a woman bashing another woman for a choice they’ve made. Get a grip

Ummm why are you so angry at Adele OP 😂 - people are paying THOUSANDS to see Oasis and Taylor Swift. Adele's tickets are not that much. She's said she wants to have more kids - so will take some time off, so what?! If she didn't announce it, people will speculate, she announces it, people like you get angry and think people 'care' - you care enough to post about how annoyed you are about her... im pretty sure shes' not too bothered what you think... she could come back or not - she's got enough money i think 😉
