Too Hot for a Beach Day?

Hello all! With temperatures set to hit 30° today, we’ve planned a beach outing. I’m starting to wonder, am I being unreasonable taking the family out in this heat? Would you brave the beach, or opt for a cooler day indoors with the curtains drawn?

Lucky you. Sounds perfect. I’m so jealous 😫

@FeralNun me too! Soul destroying isn't it?

Especially if you are on holiday! If you are, I hope you had a good day yesterday 🌞

I live here, and it’s pretty soggy most summers, but this is the worst I can remember. Especially galling when everyone else is having a heatwave 😂

Just go today.

If you wait for the 'perfect' day you may never end up going.

It won't feel like 30 degrees when you are on the beach- you can cool off in the sea. Make sure you wear hats and factor 50.

Depends where you are I guess. I’d be on the beach right now if I wasn’t stuck at work.

I walked the dog on our beach early this morning and it was a lot cooler down there than it was 5 minutes away at home. Lovely breeze, but there’s no shade and once the tide goes out it is a long ass walk down to the water if you want to go and cool off.

We’re going down after work with the paddle boards

Go to the beach! We get so little nice weather here, make the most of it

Today is a perfect picnic in the forest/woods day with plenty of shade under the trees.

We didn't get much sunshine today in South Yorkshire.

It’s fine! Hope you had a good day.

My laptop crashed today in the (London) heat. The beach sounds like a much better option!

@FeralNun no I live here! It has been awful this year...feel so sorry for the tourists who've paid an arm and a leg to come here and the weather's bad. At least the foggy mizzle burnt off by late morning...
