It’s a small storage basket approx 35cmx40cm

I really love it for our DDs nursery but logic is also saying… £50?! And I suppose she won’t be aware of it or appreciate it for years.

YABU - worth £50!
YANBU - that’s expensive for what it is

If it’s big enough to be a laundry bin- buy it

Dunno if it is. It won’t be knee high

No. I don't think she'll appreciate it- she'll just be used to it being there.

So you are buying it for you. Which is fine if you like it enough to pay £50 for it.

Wotcher · 16/07/2024 21:05

Absolutely not

MissUltraViolet · 16/07/2024 21:06

Not worth the price at all but I am a sucker for almost everything that shop sells and when I fall in love with something 'fuck it' always wins.

Babychewtoy · 16/07/2024 21:07

Think of how much dust it will attract… and won’t be easy to clean.

VWT5 · 16/07/2024 21:08

You could go down to T K Maxx then get a can of red spray paint maybe? 😃

Createausername1970 · 16/07/2024 21:11

I am picturing my 30cm ruler to get an idea of size.

It's not much bigger than a ruler, so although it is very cute, it's not cute enough or practical enough for £50.

Shielehdie · 16/07/2024 21:11

I have this and use it as a laundry basket for my toddler son. I don’t remember paying as much as £50 for it, maybe it was a midnight feed purchase and I was delerious 🤣 it is a nice basket though and big enough for a few days of toddler clothes.

BobbyBiscuits · 16/07/2024 21:12

It feels like it should be bigger to be useful for many years. It is cute for a nursery but an older kid might think it was a bit twee? I'm sure there's similar 'mushroom' themed storage that might be cheaper and more spacious.

Luckingfovely · 16/07/2024 21:17

It's ridiculous.

PasteldeNata78 · 16/07/2024 21:19

God no. £25 max
You can get similar on Amazon for £22.

Holidaaaaay · 16/07/2024 21:20

No, I've not got money to waste!

YouJustDoYou · 16/07/2024 21:20

Woven stuff like that does tend to be very expensive...I mean if you can and you love it, why not?

ChubSeedsYorkie · 16/07/2024 21:22

I nearly got this for our nursery as it’s woodland theme but the price put me off. I ended up getting a £12 woodland themed laundry bag on Amazon instead. Not as nice as this but cheaper and I’d already spent far too much on the nursery!

Serene135 · 16/07/2024 21:23

It’s very cute but not worth 50 in my opinion. Amazon is selling something similar for half the price (but it looks slightly smaller).

bridgetreilly · 16/07/2024 21:25

I would pay £20 for it, not £50. But if you can afford it and love it, why not?

Itsmeamandaberry · 16/07/2024 21:25

If I liked it I get it. I don't understand all the hang wringing that happens on this site.

TheOccupier · 16/07/2024 21:27

DD is bound to sit on it and break it as soon as she's big enough!

MissingMoominMamma · 16/07/2024 21:28

That’s the sort of thing that would last a lifetime. I’d get it if you like it.

roundspongecake · 16/07/2024 21:29

The lid will get wrecked and look TERRIBLE

That's exactly what I thought as soon as I saw it 😂

Londonrach1 · 16/07/2024 21:30

Goggle 'mushroom wicker basket ' as there lots alot cheaper (most half the price). It's over priced but your decision...

Just to reassure you OP we’ve had ours two years and it still looks good as new! I suppose it depends what you use it for but ours has certainly suffered no harm.

Londonrach1 · 16/07/2024 21:32

Just one of many but remember I don't know size
