Feel insecure after seeing celebrities' Instagram accounts

People like Olivia Attwood, Lucy Mecklenburgh, Michelle Keegan.
They're all around my age. I know they have a lot more money and have likely had treatments but their skin, hair and figures look immaculate, they're all married/engaged, Lucy has children.
They get paid an awful lot and just seem to have it all.
I know social media is all a front, but sometimes I resent that I'll likely never have that kind of money. I am by no means in poverty and I know there are many people far worse off than me, but I'd love to just go shopping and buy what I wanted without having to worry about the prices.
I know it's stupid to feel this way but I do feel envious.

So don't look at them. Engage with real life instead. Much healthier.

Unfollow them.

Not only do they have more money and time for their appearance than you, they also have great lighting, a photographer and liberal use of photoshop.

I haven't even heard of these women. Get off social media.

For some strange reason these people don't post photos of themself when they first get up in the morning, sat on the bog at midday, or slouching on the settee eating a bag of crisps watching shit on the telly.

Bit weird making yourself feel like this over celebrities. There's always going to be celebrities out there earning loads of money, so it's probably best to find a way to accept that's not your world, or do something to earn more.

My friend wears the best clothes etc etc- all sales, charity shops etc. same with her furniture and she asks for samples in department stores. You can’t help caring but you need to learn to be happy with what you have, what you are and get onto doing what you enjoy and what makes you content x

You do realise that social media is only the good parts that they want you to see. And even then it's filtered.

Noone is posting a picture of themselves in their grottiest PJs after being up all night, with no make up on are they?!

Put down the internet. Or look at cats. Or have a walk.

How can you POSSIBLY envy Olivia Attwood? She has a totally fake face and fake teeth. Botox, collagen, veneers, hair extensions. Even the lovely looking Michelle Keegan looks all fake and botoxed now. Her lips look bizarre!

I don't like women being slated, but I am not envious of women who are so fake and made up and botoxed and veneered. They have pics that are filtered to fuck too!

Don't know Lucy Mecklenburgh - and had to look her up, but yeah er OK, she is OK - but again, CAKED in make up, with filters galore too...

The celebrities don’t look like their instagram pictures. Look at their paparazzi pictures, they look more like us, some cellulite and lumps and bumps.

THIS is why I don’t use social media. Never have, never will.

Delete your accounts & remove the apps, OP. Then get off the internet, go out & do something enjoyable in real life. I’m sure you will very soon feel much better about yourself.

It's all fake. All of it. I have no clue who these people are but I bet they don't look like that when they first get up. They will only post what they consider to be the best photos - and they have probably been photoshopped.

Stop wasting your time looking at them, and spend the time treating yourself to a facial or doing your nails or going for a run.

You'll feel better, and be glossier at very little cost.

I saw Kate Moss up close years ago when she was a leading super model (we are the same age). In pics she looked amazing, up close her thighs had cellulite and they looked worse because her legs were so thin.

She also had feint crows feet on her eyes which surprised me as she still young.

Honestly take it from someone who deals with that type of person on a daily basis, they’re really not that enviable. Terrible attitudes, insecurities off the charts, toxic frenemies, extremely expensive lifestyles that require serious money to maintain. It’s all filters, influencer PR freebies and sponsored posts. It takes a certain mindset to put your life out there for people to envy and aspire to, normality is far more rewarding.

Kate moss is manky in every sense of the word.
