And remember 14 year old Noah Donohoe.

4 years ago today he was found dead in a drainage channel in Belfast after a six day search.

The police investigation into Noah's disappearance was at best incompetent at worst criminal.

4 years on and the inquest hasn't yet begun but prevents some of what can be said online.

But tonight please think of Noah, of his mother Fiona and Auntie Niamh along with the rest of the family.
And pray that somehow the truth of what happened that day will come to light and let Noah truly be at peace.

ok, thanks @needtonamechangeforthis1 .

That poor boy. I feel for his family and all who loved him.

DinaofCloud9 · 21/06/2024 21:30

Gosh it feels longer than 4 years ago. I remember it well. His poor mum.

Hoglet70 · 21/06/2024 21:31

This was awful and there are so many unanswered questions still. His Mum is trying very hard to keep his memory alive and get to the bottom of what happened.

DanielGault · 21/06/2024 21:33

There seems to be no idea what happened to Noah after all this time and investigations. Fair play to OP for highlighting this. RIP Noah.

TheCultureHusks · 21/06/2024 21:38

RIP Noah.

You deserved better.

Thinking about Noah and his family ❤️

Demonhunter · 21/06/2024 21:38

There's something really off with the whole thing, especially the secrecy of the investigation and why they withheld crucial information for so long.
I wouldn't like his poor mother's mind, must be excruciating not knowing what happened.

downwithmaterialistdogma · 21/06/2024 21:40

It's awful. My heart goes out to the family.
I hope answers come soon.

Churchview · 21/06/2024 21:46

Rest in peace Noah.
Thinking of all who loved him.

SolviturAmbulando · 21/06/2024 21:55

Just to clarify, Noah went missing 4 years ago today after leaving his mummy and home in Belfast to meet his friends. His naked body was retrieved from a drain 6 days later.

We are limited in what we can currently post by law, with the Inquest due later this year. I would ask posters to be mindful of this.

Remembering Noah today, 4 years on from that fateful day, and thinking of his family, friends and supporters.

He will never be forgotten. 💙

Wow so we don't know what happened?

That is not something we can comment upon here purpleme12 with the Inquest due to begin quite soon. It is important as the Inquest is being held before a jury.

DiscoBeat · 21/06/2024 22:07

Thinking of Noah's family today and hoping they get the answers and closure that they deserve. 💐

Is that why there hasn't been much widespread media attention? I'll be truthful and say if my SIL wasn't from NI I probably wouldn't know about this.

PashaMinaMio · 21/06/2024 22:19

Thinking of Noah.
May he rest in peace.
Poor young man. God bless him & his grieving family.

I'm ROI and was aware of it but tbh it's a long time since i've heard anything about it.

coxesorangepippin · 21/06/2024 22:20

Poor lad and poor family

May you have peace

Echobelly · 21/06/2024 22:21

This is such a sad case - it sounds like something untoward must have happened to the poor boy but I think it's going to be very hard to establish exactly what. I do hope somehow some helpful information emerges that at least might give some answers.

honeyfox · 21/06/2024 22:21

It's so awful. I hope there is some sort of outcome with the inquest.

StasisMom · 21/06/2024 22:21

SolviturAmbulando · 21/06/2024 22:23

Reporting is restricted now Demonhunter, DanielGault because of the approaching Inquest with a jury, but that really isn't an excuse, or the reason, for the often deafening silence in most mainstream media quarters for the last four years.

Demonhunter · 21/06/2024 22:26

DanielGault · 21/06/2024 22:19

I'm ROI and was aware of it but tbh it's a long time since i've heard anything about it.

One of her relatives shared a post on Facebook today which is what made me go and have a search for any update. I really don't think many people outside of NI and ROI will even know about this poor boy.
