And remember 14 year old Noah Donohoe.

4 years ago today he was found dead in a drainage channel in Belfast after a six day search.

The police investigation into Noah's disappearance was at best incompetent at worst criminal.

4 years on and the inquest hasn't yet begun but prevents some of what can be said online.

But tonight please think of Noah, of his mother Fiona and Auntie Niamh along with the rest of the family.
And pray that somehow the truth of what happened that day will come to light and let Noah truly be at peace.

Thinking of Noah and his family.

AutumnFroglets · 21/06/2024 22:28

Oh good grief, I had assumed his family were more informed regarding his death and the circumstances around it. It's outrageous than nothing is different and they still haven't started his inquest.

Poor boy and his family Flowers

Sending strength to all who loved him. I hope you get the answers you need.

Reporting is restricted now Demonhunter, DanielGault because of the approaching Inquest with a jury, but that really isn't an excuse, or the reason, for the often deafening silence in most mainstream media quarters for the last four years.

Please god they'll get some answers soon. It's been far too long.

Furrydogmum · 21/06/2024 22:31

I hope and pray for truth and justice for Noah and his family x

Gcsunnyside23 · 21/06/2024 22:42

Poor noah 😔 I often think of him as I live not far from where he was last seen and found. We haven't forgotten him or his poor mother and we all still pray for justice. The cover ups and secrecy and police mishandling is disgraceful.

AmelieTaylor · 21/06/2024 22:49

I hadn't remembered the date, but I do think of him. The hell that those who loved him have been through. I hope the inquest answers some questions for them, it's the very very least they deserve.

Even prior to the reporting restrictions there was a shocking lack of reporting.

I honestly think that the only way the truth will come out is by constantly exposing it to daylight. Public interest and demands for the truth seems to be the only way sadly.

As this thread shows so many people had forgotten about Noah or assumed the case was closed.

Here's Noah with his mummy Fiona.

I have been thinking today about what he would and should have been doing with his life now. Off to university, I imagine.

Victoria Climbie; will always hold a memory. RIP.

I’m so sorry girl; 2001 time.

WouldYouLikeMeToSpellThatForYou · 21/06/2024 23:07

This story haunts me, and I can't imagine the pain for the family.

I hope someone is able to provide details following the inquest. The investigation seemed disgraceful, he deserved much much more.

SolviturAmbulando · 22/06/2024 11:46

Thank you OP for starting this thread yesterday. Four years ago today the search for Noah was ongoing, with five more days of hopeful, fearful, searching until his body was so devastatingly retrieved.
