I know it has been done before but I would love a recap as I had so much fun reading last time! What are the maddest/ wildest/most interesting threads you recall on here?

OP posts:
BiancaBlue · 15/06/2024 21:19

I remember a thread where the poster had left an abusive relationship, her baby was rushed to hospital because they stopped breathing and needed a follow up heart scan with a cardiologist, and the ex cancelled the appointment out of spite. Probably not the wild you were thinking of but I do wonder what happened to that poster and her child.

FatmanandKnobbin · 15/06/2024 21:20

My 2 wildest ones were over a decade ago.

The first was a woman who saw a new mum in the supermarket, the baby was crying and the mum was shopping, so op went and offered to carry the newborn baby around. Woman refused, then the ladies mum appeared and the lady and her mum dealt with the baby/kept shopping.

Well the op followed her around the shop, expressed concern about this woman to multiple staff members and then watched her leave.

Between the op and some enthusiastic posters they decided the best plan was to go to the supermarket, get the CCTV footage from the carpark, get the numberplate, track the woman down and report her to SS in case she has PND because she didn't want a stranger carrying her tiny newborn around.

I will never forget it, it was wild.

The other, I think it's in classics, was a thread about fashionistas at a taxi rank.

Op had just come back from France and instead of joining the taxi queue, elbowed her way to the front because she has kids. She was horrified that these fashionistas didn't immediately jump out of the way because she was more important. Hilarious.

The great pram huns showdown. Funniest fucking thing I've ever seen.

TigerWhiskers · 15/06/2024 21:22

Something to do with a 🦬 bison

Marblessolveeverything · 15/06/2024 21:22

Ooh, I remember the get a few lads from rugby club to "bounce" car blocking driveway. I remember thinking how did they get the handbrake off🤣

wizzler · 15/06/2024 22:14

There is one in classics where the Ops ex husband had supposedly fed badger to the dc. Hilarious

TeaKitten · 15/06/2024 22:16

The one where the poster was adamant dinosaurs never existed and it was a bizarre conspiracy.

minou123 · 15/06/2024 22:23

The wildest one I read was the weddingzilla.

So, the Op had a group of friends and they were all due to attend a mutal friends wedding.
One of the male friend unfortunately passed away before the wedding.

Either the bride or the mother of the bride (can't remember which) messaged the dead man's family and asked if they were still getting a wedding gift from him.

The poor man had just died and the bride/groom still wanted their gift!

Of all the cheeky fucker threads I've read, that was the wildest.

RockyRogue1001 · 15/06/2024 23:23

I loved the ever-ressurected carpet fitter thread.
I think I'm on it 5 or 6 times under different names.
It finally got full, but I think it's in classics now

There was a wonderful maid-of-honourzilla when I was new on here that ran to a couple of threads
The MoH has recently joined an mlm, I think and was trying to turn the hen into a business opportunity.
She was also determined to bring her kids to the hen do, and therefore wanted the bride to be's bedroom. I was agog!

papadontpreach2me · 15/06/2024 23:47

I think of a poster who was pregnant and her partner was violent. She had little contact with her family and her husbands behaviour was escalating. The last I heard she was on a plane back to her family in her home country and excited for the future with her baby.

Beautifulbythebay · 15/06/2024 23:51

Wild sex noises in a shrub was suggested as hedgehogs until op mentioned the requesting of a finger up the bum. No self respecting hog would ask for such a thing..

SweetFemaleAttitude · 15/06/2024 23:56

One post where the OP hated dolphins and was disgusted at their cutest reputation.

Utter made-up crappy nonsense.

And I don't even mind the odd made-up thread if it's lols.

That was when (an already tanking) MN took a nosedive.

anon3738 · 16/06/2024 00:21

I can’t remember the full details it was years ago but something about a mum playing a recorder/harmonica in the swimming pool changing rooms 😂

Springchickenonion · 16/06/2024 00:29

I think it was deleted for being fake, but I loved the one where the OP claimed we were in danger from wolves. It was brilliant.

And balonz.
