I’m I’ll 😩What on earth is wrong with me.

I have no idea what’s wrong with me and I’m scared.

I’m absolutely fatigued to the point I can barely leave my bed or the sofa
hairs falling out
constant almost motion sickness
dizzy when I stand up
parts of me are itchy
my menstrual cycle has changed
I get bloated when I eat food
oh and keep getting pins and needles in my legs

honestly I’m beginning to think it’s all in my head. No chance I’m pregnant, I’m 34 so don’t think it’s menopause, already take vitamins b12 and vitamin D. Is it a bug or am I really I’ll. had to write it down as otherwise I’ll keep googling which isn’t doing me an favours.

going to ring the doctors in the morning but knowing my luck it’ll be 4 weeks before they see me.

Have you had your thyroid function checked? Some of the symptoms sounds like they could be related to that

ManilowBarry · 12/06/2024 01:53

Anaemia?

Not that I’m aware of. I had my iron tested not long ago and it was fine but don’t think they ran any other tests.

When I felt like this it was post viral fatigue from glandular fever. Book a private GP if yours won't see you. Also email your MP to let them know you can't get an appointment. I hope you feel better soon .

SeeingRainbowsInTheGloom · 12/06/2024 02:00

How long have you been ill for?

Inthetropics · 12/06/2024 02:00

B12 deficiency?

Inthetropics · 12/06/2024 02:02

It can still be low even if you take it daily. Some people (like me) need an injection.

How long have you been ill for?

Probably around 7 days or so but gradually getting worse.

It’s so weird I was fine till the end of may as I went away on holiday to Spain. Came back and it’s hit me like a ton of bricks. Haven’t had a cough , cold anything.

All icansay those symptoms are the exact same as when I eventually got diagnosed with thyroid problems. Once I had thyroid removed and meds I became normal again

RoseBucket · 12/06/2024 02:12

Lyme disease?

Oo interesting. Thank you. No thyroid issues in the family but I’ll see what the doctors say if and when I get an appointment. I seem to be losing weight Aswell currently which is unplanned too.

That sounds terrible and I would really push for the doctor to see you as soon as possible. If you literally can't get up or see straight the need to see you right away. The fact that you've posted about calling the gp but not mentioned seeing them previously suggests this is new, so do push for them to see you asap

Theredfoxfliesatmidnight · 12/06/2024 03:42

Completely random probably rubbish suggestion here, but some of your symptoms correlate to vitamin d overdose? Just checking you haven't bought a super strong one that you're spraying many times a day are you?

Theredfoxfliesatmidnight · 12/06/2024 03:43

OK I've just read you're losing weight without knowing why as well, please tell the gp surgery that tomorrow and they should see you same day xx

We don’t have any MPs at the moment, Until the election there are no MPs all seats are vacant as parliament has been dissolved

Do mention your travel history when you see a GP, on the off chance it’s one of the mosquito borne diseases. Although chances to weight and periods sound like somehh th inf that’s gone on for a longer time?

Scottishshortbread11877 · 12/06/2024 05:03

@5475878237NC have you written to your GP to report you couldn't get a GP appt? If so, did you receive a response?

OhshutupSandra · 12/06/2024 06:17

I would also push for an emergency appointment. Tell them you have unintentional weight loss as well as your other symptoms, don't let them fob you off it is really important you get a set of bloods done to start off with.

TookTheBook · 12/06/2024 06:28

Sounds like when I had very low B12. Similar to anaemia.

Ask for a same day GP appointment, it sounds like you can't work or live a normal life so can't wait for weeks. Be politely assertive.

Willmafrockfit · 12/06/2024 06:30

do you need vitamin D in June?

PonkyPonky · 12/06/2024 06:39

I agree with others with regards thyroid disease. I had all those symptoms when I was first diagnosed with overactive thyroid but it is very sudden. I would expect more of a gradual build up with that. Did you just suddenly start feeling this way? That would imply something else. Definitely try and speak to a GP as soon as possible.

You need an urgent GP appointment. Make sure to list every symptom.

HelpNeededBeforeIHaveABreakdown · 12/06/2024 06:57

Ask to be tested for coeliac disease too.

Piddypigeon · 12/06/2024 06:59

could be loads of things... you need to get yourself to the GP. They will probably start with a full blood count.

Write down all the symptoms when you see them.
