To buy Taylor Swift tickets on Viagogo?

I know it’s got a bad reputation and I’ll be paying over the odds.

I registered for the pre-sale but never got a code. I’ve been checking ticketmaster and AXS multiple times a day all year but have never seen any resale options come up. I’m registered for alerts on Twickets.

DD is a massive Swiftie and we’re both desperate to go. Viagogo tickets are guaranteed so if we can’t get in (and I realise getting turned away at the gate is a very real possibility) I would get my money back. They can’t all be scammers on there though? I’d never buy tickets off facebook or similar but surely this is as good as it gets?

Took a lot of wrangling to get Viagogo to issue me with a refund for tickets for a cancelled Sinead O'Connor concert (cancelled after her son died).

Had been following this thread when I was buying tickets but wanted to come back and leave a comment- went to Taylor swift tonight in Edinburgh with tickets from viagogo (TEX trader who had a 10 and seemed to b a more recognised trader) bought tickets Fri morning for Fri night

Tickets were sent to my ticketmaster within the hour and we got in no bother along with multiple ppl in the queue - had the best night with my wee girl - I will admit I didn’t settle until we got through the tickets desk but I cannot complain at all 🩷🩷

Amazing. Thank you for coming back to share this. Glad you had a great night 🫶

Viagogo tickets in Edinburgh worked no problem

Pinkstar28 · 09/06/2024 22:54

Im looking for any of the Wembley dates. I’m not really prepared to pay over the odds and as I didn’t register for a code, my only option is Viagogo (refuse buying from any FB or similar posts) any tips as to what to look for in order to get genuine tickets and not scammed ones?

Ivyhedera · 10/06/2024 18:36

Look for 'trader' as those who are traders have sold over 100 genuine tickets through viagogo. Don't be put off if the company is based in the states - ours was. The tickets came through AXS app

Ivyhedera · 10/06/2024 18:37

Also - you will still pay over the odds, we paid 3x more than what the face value price showed on the ticket

QuirkyUmberPoster · 10/06/2024 18:44

I bought a single ticket from StubHub for Edinburgh n2 on Thursday. Ticket was transferred into my account within a day and it worked perfectly
I had tried to get in through official routes (Ticketmaster presale, then resale, axs) but nothing. I live less than 10 miles from the stadium and I desperately wanted to go so I took a chance and it paid off for me (and the person who profited from selling their ticket I guess)

Same

Does anyone know of viagogo tickets that didn’t work in Edinburgh?! I’m kicking myself for not just sucking it up and buying some and thinking about trying for Wembley but that would be a long journey for us…

colachive · 11/06/2024 21:36

Mine worked for Edinburgh, had an amazing night! Now looking at buying more for Liverpool…

My viagogo TS tickets came through on Tuesday (bought July) the company was called Tex

Did they work out ok?

Did they work out ok?

Yes. They did disappear on the day but viaggogo got them resent immediately. I’d advise to download to your wallet asap.

Babadook76 · 13/06/2024 16:16

Viagogo Liverpool tickets were fine for me. DD and her friend is in 😃

I was told to go with someone with a higher rating (the wee number u see on their page) and someone who’s a recognised trader company as opposed to an individual seller - although I think there r some good individual traders out there ! When u click as if you’re about to buy the tickets u should see the name of the trader - if u don’t I wouldn’t go with them! Not that I’m an expert that just my experience - I used TX trader for Taylor swift last week and had no issues - got the tickets within the hour

That's great I think i have just bought from the same seller. Where do you see their score? I can see their name as Tex Trading but not the rating. The tickets were ok?

solvendie · 13/06/2024 21:59

Daughter bought from Stubhub for Edinburgh and had no problems. However, the day before the concert she got a ticketmaster code and managed to get me a ticket through that.

downtownlights · 25/06/2024 02:02

If you “don’t want to pay over the odds” you have zero chance unless you pre registered that city and randomly get a late code when they release production tickets a week or so before.

whatwhatwhot · 25/06/2024 02:05

I bought on stub hub on Saturday morning for Wembley on Saturday night. Transfer am happened within 10 mins of purchase. Concert was amazing. Worth it!

Whousestypewritersanyway · 25/06/2024 02:24

I also bought on viagogo for Edinburgh N1 and got in no problem. They went into my AXS account. A lot of scaremongering re this. StubHub and Viagogo are the same company btw. Spent £££ - absolutely no regrets.

HerculesMulligan · 25/06/2024 17:41

I bought Stubhub tickets and got into Wembley fine on Sunday night.

Dontbeabitterlemon · 25/06/2024 17:42

I did for hugh jackman and it was fine

goodkidsmaadhouse · 27/06/2024 16:22

Those who went to Wembley, what were the seats/prices like? For August I’m seeing what looks like a rubbish view for £800ish. Some tickets for £5k! Not sure if these will come down as we get closer. Absolutely kicking myself that I didn’t get viagogo tickets for Murrayfield which were way cheaper - but the scaremongering definitely worked.

downtownlights · 27/06/2024 17:28

There are so many permutations of prices and views it is difficult to explain all here unless you have a specific query. Generally views were fine, although some of the seatblocks with the best sightlines were sold as VIP (a mark up of 400+ in some cases), and the production team didn't really take into account differences between UK/Euro and US stadia so some very expensive tickets in lower rows ended up blocked by VIP tents and other suchlike. Agree there is not much on the resellers under about 700-800 and many of those have zero views at all!

downtownlights · 27/06/2024 17:30

I did notice to my surprise that prices didn't come down for June although I admit I didn't look past 3-4 hours prior to the show.
