Universal credit - finding out payments

Booksandflowers · 16/05/2024 17:26

Hi. I’ve transferred over from tax credits and today was the day I was supposed to find out how much we are entitled to but there’s nothing on the journal or anywhere I can see. It still says to check back on the 16th May!

Is this normal?

Go to the payments tab and see when it says your statement should be there

Booksandflowers · 16/05/2024 17:30

It tells me my statement will be ready on 16th May and to check back then?

OP posts:
Snowpatrolling · 16/05/2024 17:32

When it says come back on the 16th you should be able to scroll down to see statements which will tell you how much.

If 16th May is your assessment date then you'll find out every month on the 16th how much you're getting.

Booksandflowers · 16/05/2024 17:35

No, it just talks about our situation, how many children etc.

But today is the 16th and there’s no info.

Bigsislookingforadvice · 16/05/2024 17:38

If it's your first month I'd double checks there is nothing in your to-do section outstanding that needs to be completed by you or verified.
It's known that first month can take a day or so long to show a statement, so long as it's there before you get paid it'll still arrive on the correct date

x2boys · 16/05/2024 17:38

Have you filled in all your details of wages for you/ your partner, if you work?
We have just transferred too and my dh,place of work were late in providing how much he earned the month before ,and they wouldn't show a payment until they had it.

So it is 😅 give them a call tomorrow OP.

Booksandflowers · 16/05/2024 17:40

Yes we’ve filled in income for the month for both of us. Says we will be paid in the 20th so I’ll wait til then and if nothing I’ll call them.

I wouldn't wait until the 20th. This has resulted in me being paid the month after before.

Booksandflowers · 16/05/2024 17:41

Oh really? Ill call them tomorrow then. So annoying as working all day so not really time.

Booksandflowers · 16/05/2024 20:51

There is something on there but can’t be done until June 30th so it can’t be that?!

OP posts:
chasegirl · 16/05/2024 20:54

Have you checked your to do list? If there is a to do outstanding it could be blocking your payment.

HippeePrincess · 16/05/2024 20:58

Good luck, they’re fucking terrible. Ask in your journal but also call them.
Make sure you get clued up on what they’re supposed to pay you and how everything is calculated as they’ve paid us wrong every month without fail since December.

Basicsandwich · 16/05/2024 20:58

When they put a to do list on there sometimes it's a 'payment blocker' so I would check with them and they can change the appointment to a different type and release the payment. What is the appointment for?

There is but it’s not due to be done until end of June so surely can’t be that?

It’s a self employment review

That's an appointment. If you click on the link it will tell you the time and place.

When did you and your partner report your income and expenses?

OhmygodDont · 16/05/2024 21:11

If you’ve got something outstanding they might hold back payment till complete even if it’s not due as such because they just give you X amount of time.

You need to check, my dh had a commitment, s review because his employer sent details of his wages late and they thought he was unemployed. ,he's worked for the same company full time for 15 years
We only moved over a couple of months ago and we have had a couple of teething problems ,but fingers crossed it seems more reliable than tax credits ( ask me again in six months)

The appointment isn’t until the end of June though? So we wouldn’t be paid for another 5 weeks?

OP posts:
FuckTheClubUp · 16/05/2024 21:20

OP it’s easier if you include screenshots (scribble out any identifying info) so that we can see what’s going on. I can’t quite understand from your posts how it’s looking atm.

When you click on payments, what do you see? What do you have waiting to be completed in the to do list?
