Universal credit - finding out payments

Hi. I’ve transferred over from tax credits and today was the day I was supposed to find out how much we are entitled to but there’s nothing on the journal or anywhere I can see. It still says to check back on the 16th May!

Is this normal?

I’ve asked a friend to send me theirs 😅 so when you click of payments it should look like this. Their statement date is the 12th. If you cannot see this then for some reason they have assessed to pay you.

OP it’s easier if you include screenshots (scribble out any identifying info) so that we can see what’s going on. I can’t quite understand from your posts how it’s looking atm.

When you click on payments, what do you see? What do you have waiting to be completed in the to do list?

So when I go on payments it tells me on 16th May I’ll hear how much we are entitled to. It also talks about if we need an advance payment.

on my partners to do list there is a video appointment for a self employment review still to be done. However, this isn’t due until the end of June.

I’m pretty sure you don’t get payments till all your todo is done.

A self employment review appointment does not stop your payment going out (only the self employment gateway appointment stops payments).

If there are no other to do's on your list or your partners it maybe your payment will be calculated overnight and your statement will show tomorrow

Booksandflowers · 16/05/2024 21:49

Thanks. Fingers crossed for tomorrow then! Can’t wait another month till payment.

Check first thing, if it's not there you need to ring.
Can result in not receiving money

chasegirl · 16/05/2024 21:57

Even if there is some action the service centre need to take to release your payment you wouldn't need to wait until next month for your payment.

As soon as any outstanding action is taken a payment is released (and csn be paid the same day if its due that day, or overdue).

No statement = no payment will received on the date mentioned. Leave a message in your journal under ‘A Payment’ so that it goes directly to the Decision Maker. Give them a call in the morning however they usually just leave a message in your journal, they never really do much. Good luck
