Just for fun.

I'll begin...

Taking the toilet roll of the toilet roll holder and not putting it back on...why take it off to begin with.

+ + Where I live, lots of drivers don't understand how roundabouts work. You give way to the left. People will just stop mid roundabout to let you go. + +

Where is that? You give way to traffic from the right.

She said that she's in Canada.

ImustLearn2Cook · 04/05/2024 09:19

It irritates me that when you’ve been stuck behind someone going slower than the speed limit and then as soon as you can legally overtake and go into the overtaking lane to pass them THEY SPEED UP TO PREVENT YOU (unless you exceed the speed limit) AND THEN SLOW BACK DOWN THE MOMENT THE OVERTAKING LANE ENDS! 😡 If you want to drive slow fine. But why the fuck do you want to prevent someone else from passing you!

moonshinepoursthroughmywindow · 04/05/2024 09:33

Referring to the person they’re dating as “my partner” when it’s a relatively new relationship and they don’t live together.

I'm glad to see that one - I thought I was the only person who still thought partner=living together.

Drivers not using indicators.

And as bad, or worse, indicating incorrectly. And idiots who go round roundabouts in the left lane, when they want the fifth exit.

Oooh the roundabout thing pisses me off!! It happens a lot on a particular roundabout here. Happened last night, dickhead in the left lane all the way round the roundabout. I indicated to come off and he started beeping at me! Fucking idiot, I hadn’t even started moving over because I knew what he was doing. I was indicating to let the prick know of my intention so he could either speed up or slow down and get out of my bastard way.

Then cross the road without looking up.

Look at the ROAD not your phone

a woman with a pram did that the other day. I was indicating to turn left, got part way round and she just walked out, on the phone, onto the road . Luckily for her (well her child) I’m hyper aware of knobheads walking while on their mobile and hadn’t started to accelerate.

I have encountered similar situations before. I rolled down my window and said to them either look at the road and not your phone or can’t you get your eyes unglued from your phone for 10 seconds?

Guilt as sin

Using the expression lol.

I confess to judging people who put this at the end of texts, emails and MN posts.

Yes. Even more so when it's used as a full stop.

Same with "ha" or "ha ha"

People in their 80s and 90s shopping on Saturday mornings.

Had the audacity to say it’s busy when they have all week to shop.

Lost my cool with a couple. “Please leave Saturday morning shopping for those who work”.

A couple said to me that they don’t understand what do the very elderly actually accomplish when shopping on Saturday mornings.

People who like your Facebook status when everyone else has used the laughing emoji. You’re ruining my record! 😆

notedbiscuits · 04/05/2024 14:57

When driving down a road with parked cars, the car going in the opposite direction doesn't pull in when they have fewer cars on their side. I had someone who did that this morning. I the one that had to reverse 4 car lengths into a side road.

assume there is lots of milk just be cause theres 3 different types, and not considering the levels of the amounts of milk available

ArchaeoSpy · 04/05/2024 15:29

people that stand in the middle of the isles of supermarkets then look across at the items

well the nice part of me would say that YABU as you never know what the rest of their week has looked like eg maybe they’ve just come home after being away all week, or a hospital stay etc

then I remember my inlaws, despite being retired and having no commitments during the week now, still insist on doing a supermarket shop on a Sunday morning. I think with them it’s just pure habit. It’s what they’ve always done and they can’t comprehend doing it any different way. I don’t get it because my local supermarket is a goddamn nightmare at the weekend. If I need to do weekend shopping I rush in half an hour before closing and do a whip round.

I think it’s only a matter of time before Sunday trading laws get changed again as it’s busy till the last minute though lately.

Putting apostrophes all over the place. If you don't get the rules, that's fine, leave them out.

Thank’s for the grammar lesson’s!

People who don’t put the toilet seat down on those toilets where the flush button is literally hidden behind the open toilet seat so that you have to put it down and stop shit and piss particles flying at you, to reach the button.. how are these people flushing and not putting the seat down?!

Maybe it’s just been cleaned?

Auburngal · 04/05/2024 17:37

@CurlyhairedAssassin move to Scotland - no restrictions with Sunday trading.

At my work, we struggle to get colleagues to work Sundays, esp if its to cover sickness and holidays

CoffeeCantata · 04/05/2024 17:58

Lack of spatial awareness. People who stop in doorways when they need to move aside to do whatever they're doing. People who block supermarket aisles thoughtlessly. People who walk 2 - 4 abreast on a path or pavement and mow down people coming in the opposite direction.

I once came across a queue for a cashpoint (remember those?) in London (so a busy street and a wide pavement) which was at a right angle to the street instead of in a line along the wall. Pedestrians couldn't walk along the pavement and some were stepping on to the road. I hate being bossy but I suggested we all move and line up along the wall. They looked at me as if I was mad...but did shuffle over. Each one of them was in their own little world and oblivious to the chaos they were causing.

CoffeeCantata · 04/05/2024 18:07

Ooh another...

People (mostly women, but I have seen the odd bloke) who have hair which they seem to need to constantly push or stroke back from their face - or make as if to tuck behind the ear, except they never actually do tuck it properly.

Either really tuck it properly behind your ears, tie it back or learn to live with the 'curtains' effect. The absolutely constant touching of hair which then falls back immediately is maddening to watch. It's clearly a sort of compulsion, like biting your nails!

Meghan Markle is one of the guilty ones. Leave your hair alone, woman!

And while we're at it, Harry, with his constant buttoning and unbuttoning of this suit jacket while walking drives me crackers.

People who apparently don’t know the difference between ‘worse’ and ‘worst’.

And people who pronounce ‘sixth’ as ‘sickth’.

Having loud conversations on their phones on public transport. OR not talking but having the other person’s activities on loud speaker, I listened to someone washing up last week. No words, just washing fucking dishes.

The shittest, most crappy horrendous music on loud speaker on public transport.

people who leave their crap and rubbish on trains.

People who put their hold luggage sideways in the overhead bin on a flight so other people have to rearrange it so another 2 people can get their bags up there.

Arseholes that drop litter or throw it out of cars.

People that spit.

People who do not pick up their dog shit.

People who’s dogs are “just being friendly “ as it jumps up all over me or my child when out.

People who insist that their dogs would cure my terror of dogs.

People who don’t put the divider on the supermarket belt after their shopping.

People who put their shopping trolley diagonally across the isle so no other fucker can get past.

People who are late.

People who talk about themselves and no fuck all about who they are talking to because they haven’t bothered to ask or show interest.

People who park over 2 spaces.

People parking on a narrow pavement meaning prams/elderly/wheelchair have to go down the curb and onto the road to pass.

People who park badly so you can’t get out of your car.

People who are flabagasted that they need to pay at the till then spend the next few minutes searching their bags and pockets looking for a purse or bank card. No attempt to do so while standing in the queue…WAITING TO FUCKING PAY.

In other words, any one who is selfish, self absorbed, the only person in this world that matters…to themselves.

Ban them, ban them all.

omg you read my mind

We’ve hired someone who does it. It’s driving me batty and I want to fail her probation because of it.

A friend in Leicester is upset about M&S in the city centre is closing down.

Asked her when was the last time she shopped in there. Her response - years ago.

You aren’t going to miss a shop closing down when you are not a regular customer!
