Over the weekend at some point, I spent £24.99 on something which is showing as cleared through my bank to "En Online" - the actual line on my statement reads:

EN ONLINE SP 24.99

Further info it shows me is that the Business type is Game, Toy and Hobby Shops.

I can't for the life of me remember what I've bought! Anyone recognise it please?

I've Googled and nothing appears, and I've searched my emails for the amount and can't see anything and it's not showing as a subscription anywhere.

I know I can ring my bank and dispute it but the chances are it's something I've ordered knowingly online so don't really want to go down that route.

Do you have kids and do they play games on phones? If so, it's possible they've made an in-game purchase, if the phone they were playing on is linked to your account.

Thanks - I've not bought anything from The Entertainer and my kids, although they game, don't have anything joined up to my bank account

A company may be one thing on a website but another on banking.

Ring the bank. They can usually give more details. Happened to me recently and it was in a bowling alley even though the transaction linked to our city library

Being disabled, I buy everything online so often find random names on my credit card statement as some businesses have different trading names to their shop store name. However, I generally get an email confirming each order so could you search through recent emails to find one matching that amount?

I tend to keep such emails in my inbox until I have received the goods and checked that they are not damaged as it’s an easy reference to look at when returning things. I seem to get more and more parcels which do not have a receipt inside the parcel so have no record of the order reference number without the email.

I know that does not help you right now!

Check automatic subscriptions, especially on Xbox/switch/playstation. If you have an iPhone go to your settings and check subscriptions. I’m guessing if you don’t remember purchasing it then it will have been an automatic subscription. Do a search on your email inbox for £24.99 and see if anything shows up.

Have you been out and about at the weekend? I find when buying from sellers at parks and stuff it appears very random on statements.

I hate those ambiguous names that have nothing to do with the company you’ve bought from. I had one recently, (it was called Go Cardless), no idea what it was and as it was a direct debit I freaked out for a minute. After googling it turned out to be for the new pet insurance I’d changed over to.

The pricing looks a lot like a digital subscription or in-game purchase. However if it was in a phone app then all the invoices come via Apple and you won't be billed separately for it.

Could it be possible that you opted in to a free trial period for something a while back and they've only billed you now?

No indication I've bought anything.

I had a transaction recently for something i didn't recognise.
It was fraud
Got a refund in about 2 or 3 days and I'm just waiting on a new card.

Very strange. I came across this post as I was googling for the exact same reason!
I have the same transaction of 24.99 on my credit card from March 31st, with the same text. No email traces.

I play a lot of online RPG and boardgames, but I can not find any subscriptions that makes sense.

Is it a PayPal transaction? Or anything with a "pay over 3 months) type feature?

In my case the card is not connected to Paypal at all. I have now trawled my browser history for all browsers, with no trace of the culprit.
Also, I am Norwegian, so it is not very often I pay in GBP, so I should be able to recognise this.

Curiouser and curiouser! Mine was same date - I'm wondering whether it's to do with my son's Switch?
