They are ice pops but when I was a child (1960s) there was a brand of them called Tip Tops, so I guess that's why some people called them that.

Freeze pop or ice pole

Tip top is evaporated milk

I had totally forgotten the frozen drinks in a plastic cup that melted a bit with your hands around them. Happy days!

Quenchy cup is about right for those. Or maybe Kwenchy?

thing in pic is an ice pole.

Freeze pop, but I’d figure ice pop was a synonym.

Pop Ice (Liverpool)

Thank goodness - I was beginning to think I’d imagined them being pop ices (also Liverpool, but my brought-up-in-Yorkshire children all say ice pop, so I fell into the habit of saying it too).

sweetpickle2 · 06/03/2024 00:39

Both is correct- they’re ice pops, Tip Top was a brand of them. Some places called them ice poles.

Tip Top was also the can of condensed creamy stuff. That plastic cup everyone is posting was called a Big Time!

And a Jubbly was a triangle

@JudgementalRaccoon

Thank goodness for you too - I was a lone voice there!

Pop ice and lolly ice in Liverpool world!
