God I love the reboot. It's so corny and cheesy and amazing. Well done BBC for getting this revival so so right.

It probably was, he has a channel as Mattdoesfitness that I've followed for quite a while. You should look it up, his son is absolutely adorable.

I think some of the women have potentially been a little bit cagey about playing the 'baddy' because of potential media push back. It's a fine line between pantomime and villain and actual villain! They need to just get into their stride and display their personality a bit more- like Apollo last week!

It's been such a great reboot.

Another Nitro-lover here. He just comes across as such a lovely guy - in fact didn't one of the contenders say that last night, that he was glad to be up against Nitro as he's such a nice guy backstage, etc? He is also the most awesome dancer.

Fury is my favourite of the girls - as someone who wears a hearing aid, I think she's an inspiration to young people who are hard of hearing. But she also just comes across as a good sportswoman - her focus is to win, but she'll be complimentary and kind to the contender afterwards.

There are a few others I like too, of course. I will say that Giant is my second-favourite of the men, but I do wonder if he'll be allowed back next season (if there is a next season), due to the news about his past steroid use? I hope so, as he has stated that he no longer uses them, or advocates for them, but I do wonder if the news being out there will be a bit too controversial for the BBC.

Was nitro the Olympic sprinter? He looks so familiar.

love it too. I love that they pick tiny plucky competitors too for the contrast.

I quite like Barney for that dad/kid connection but also a female presenter might have worked well

I'm really enjoying gladiators. Fury and Nitro are my favourites - they seem lovely people and supportive and I love Nitro's dancing! I also like the range of competitors eg different jobs, different ages, some newer to fitness etc.

Legend is brilliant, we are all copying the face stroke moves in our house.

Women wise, we just go 'Awwww' when young Dynamite is introduced. Love Sabre and Diamond but they look like they should be in the original series with their 90's look!

Do they have a 90s look? I don't really see that? I think the different characters of the Gladiators do shine through well. Gauntlet clearly needs to be made more difficult for contenders though

I can see finding Sabre nice to look at but in what way is she more entertaining than the other female gladiators?

We love it in our house too! DD4 likes Fire (or 'Fire Girl' as she calls her), dd3 likes Diamond, dh and I like Legend, he's funny!

Nitro and Fury are the best but I do absolutely love Legend, he's so funny.
It's so nice watching it with the kids, they are so outraged by Viper's cheating 😂

I actually find Sabre the most annoyingly. We call her Posey Pants in our house as she is constantly posing and wiggling.

I love Dynamite and Fury in the women, and Legend and Nitro for the men. Legend plays an entertaining character and Nitro just looks like he'd be a lovely guy.

My 7 year old adores Dynamite.

Legend is the best for entertainment value, Fury is the best for just absolutely throwing herself into the games (and at the contenders - you can tell she's a rugby player!)
