To think Legend and Sabre are the best two Gladiators

God I love the reboot. It's so corny and cheesy and amazing. Well done BBC for getting this revival so so right.

Sabre and Legend are definitely the most entertaining. Legend needed to show tonight he was a good competitor as well as an entertainer and he did that.

Nitro and Fury also fantastic. Phantom, Electra and Apollo too... I like them all really but Viper overplayed his hand a bit.

Nitro has the best smile and 6yo daughter likes Sabre.

Great family viewing and quite nostalgic as I loved the original as a 90s kid

I've just watched Legend (I think it was) on a Nile Wilson gymnastics clip. He was great and not very good at gymnastics.

Legend and Fury are our favourites as well as Nitro because he is so sweet and smiley.

My 7 year old ds loves to boo Viper, he’s a panto villain for the kids.

Not sure which male gladiator it was tonight that was cringingly embarrassing. He interrupted the presenter to say he’d intended to do something one handed. Looked like an utter prat and childish. Effectively saying ‘I caught him, stop giving analysis’ . Made himself look stupid

My favourites are Nitro, Steel, Fury and Diamond.
I also have a soft spot for Clatters...

I am so hoping for a second series! I'd love to see it being filmed and have one of those big foam hands.

Does anyone's DH not like Sabre? TBH i like her too, and Fury, they're fantastic role models. Diamond scares me!

Love Nitro, Fire, Fury and Giant. Legend is good too, plays the role well. Steel has a beautiful face.

We love Viper in this house. He is the replacement for the ‘wolf’ of old. Love the staged cheating and moody face as he gets disqualified. Always enjoy Legend boasting and getting boos.
It’s such a great reboot. Our whole family including adults, teens and young kids love it. It’s got something for everyone. Great characters and proper competition. Well done to the BBC!

@Springdeclutter er that's an act, he's playing a character basically. Just the way Viper is and Wolf did in the original. Are you new to the show?

Legend is a bellend but in an entertaining way.

My favourites are Phantom and Diamond. Dh likes Sabre (I wonder why!) and I’m fascinated by Giant.

Legend has been on YouTube for years and my kids loved watching the videos he did. I'm glad he got picked up for this and will hopefully get more opportunities

If Sabre is the one who does that weird hop to show her thigh and constantly sways then YABU she's annoying!

The show is great though, proper family fun. The only thing I'd change is Barney Walsh, he's so wooden.

Legend is great fun. Phantom and Fury are the faves in this house. I live that it has come back. Was so popular when I was a kid and ds has said that lots of his friends are watching. I do think the old presenting team of John and Ulrika was much better. I genuinely believed Wolf was like that not just an act.

Fury and Nitro are firm favourites in our house. They're excellent at the games and they seem to genuinely support and admire the competitors. They're not playing characters, they naturally have enough confidence to talk in front of the cameras.

Obviously Legend is a great entertainer, so we all love it when he's on. Viper is surplus to requirements we think, his shtick is boring. We were saying Sabre would've fitted in better in the show's original incarnation - the sexy thing seems a bit dated now. She's surrounded by women who are simply gorgeous without the pouting and posing to get everything in shot. I don't think any of the male competitors are trying to be alluring, or if they are I've totally missed it. I fancy Clattenburg the most 😳

My favourites are Apollo and Fury but also fans of Legend, Nitro and Giant. My ds likes Diamond. I agree that Barney Walsh is a bit wooden.
