Settle a debate pls - I think Mr Benn is creepy AF but DP says not (and is slightly appalled).

I found the shop creepy, but I envied Mr Benn his adventures.

The shop keeper is creepy.

No he was lovely. Everyone makes everything and everybody creepy nowadays. Innocent times.
Leave Mr Benn alone.

Mr Benn was a sweet, emotionally buttoned up man who indulged his mildly adventurous side by putting on a pirate suit and saying 'argh' a couple of times.

It’s true the shop keeper was a bit creepy but Mr Benn was an innocent.

Weirdly we were discussing Mr Benn yesterday and saying we were amazed they hadn’t made a film of it.

I thought the thread title said Mr Bean so was coming along to say yes he absolutely is but Mr Benn, no no and again no. Only last week I put on old episodes for my kids. They were thoroughly unimpressed but I was all warm and fuzzy with happy memories.

Loved Mr Benn and I appear like magic in my work place setting like the shopkeeper

Totally misogynistic and male focused. Any decent adventure featured males doing the exciting stuff. Girls were the passive participants.

I despaired that my step dc liked it as I thought they would be adversely affected by the messaging.I tried to keep my DC away from it.

Mr Benn was a special favourite of my older son's. Really appealed to him. Happy memories of sitting in the armchair with son/s watching those programmes. I remember them well. My absolute favourite is Bagpuss.

Facts about Mr Benn lol

I don't remember him being creepy.

It was a wonderfully simple plot with endless possibilities.
I didn't realise the series was that old.

Hamble on Play School was creepy.
