And other areas of the county is really exploring and seeing new things? To do this in my view you need museums, holidays theatre tips not cinema and parks.

I don’t understand your question

FawnFrenchieMum · 04/02/2024 21:28

Sorry, what?

Nor do I.

BringOnFebBankHoliday · 04/02/2024 21:29

?

FailingAtEverythingAgain · 04/02/2024 21:29

Eh?

TeenLifeMum · 04/02/2024 21:30

I think there’s words missing op.

Kpo58 · 04/02/2024 21:30

Huh?

FuckingHellAdele · 04/02/2024 21:31

I think in your haste to show your superiority, you may have left out some letters and words 😁

OhItsOnlyCynthia · 04/02/2024 21:31

Is going to a park sightseeing? Is that what you're asking?

shockthemonkey · 04/02/2024 21:31

Mistake in the title, do you mean « town »? Mistake in the message, do you mean « is not really… »?

shockthemonkey · 04/02/2024 21:33

I’ve got a feeling I’d say YABU whatever you meant…

TitusMoan · 04/02/2024 21:33

Put the wine glass down, it’s Monday tomorrow.

johnd2 · 04/02/2024 21:34

Your post is confusing but either way, there's no official definition of exploring but if you go to a new park or a new town that is by definition a new thing
You do what you like and let others do what they like.

All the more reason to drink the wine (but maybe not post a thread whilst doing so)

eggbot · 04/02/2024 21:37

Parks are good museums are good. It's about getting a mix

TheShellBeach · 04/02/2024 21:37

YABU for writing an OP which doesn't make sense.

shockthemonkey · 04/02/2024 21:37

I’m with @johnd2

live and let live

explore how you like

BeingATwatItsABingThing · 04/02/2024 21:38

Assuming you’re saying going to visit somewhere new doesn’t count if you do things like a park or cinema.

Surely, that’s up to individuals. If people enjoy parks and cinemas, let them crack on without feeling superior for your museums (seriously boring in my book).

Wow, I’m quite impressed you worked out what was missing lol.

Gobacktoyou8 · 04/02/2024 21:39

I mean that parks aren’t really experiences to take pictures and tell people you’ve been to them etc. much more special things to post about

Yeah still not getting it OP. Context is key.

Maybe those people can’t afford what you think is special. Maybe just spending time together is special for them.

Whatever their reasoning, why do you care?

Bitter and painful experience, Fawn

You are saying that visiting two parks in a city are not sightseeing? Personally I think people too often overlook parks. My favourite days out in London and various cities have been parks. I always recommend to families to visit London parks over expensive theatre that can be seen anywhere. So, I'd always choose parks over theatre or restaurants. I do museums too though.

itsmyp4rty · 04/02/2024 21:43

Princess Diana memorial park is very cool.
