Is it weird to find a gay man very attractive?

It's not someone I know, he's on a TV show. Don't want to say which one!
He's openly guy but he's one of the best looking men I've ever seen,I find him incredibly sexually attractive and have a crush on him.
Has this happened to anyone else?

Not odd at all. Andrew Scott, who plays the hot priest in Fleabag, is gay but plenty of women fancy him. I suppose his character isn't gay in Fleabag but we all still love him out of character too

No. I think you can think someone is objectively handsome and attractive without fancying them.

i remember doing a double take at a parents evening a few years back.. the teacher in question looked like a young and better looking version of Rob Lowe. He was some 25 years younger than me and openly gay. Great teacher which was the main thing.

Why would it be weird? He’s an attractive man. It’s no weirder than fancying a straight celebrity you also have no chance with.

Why would it be weird? You don’t know this man, you’re not planning to seduce him, of course feeling attracted to him wouldn’t be dependent on him being attracted to women.

I think it is weird. But I go off celebrity crushes because I find out they’re married (as if I have a chance! ).

Of course not! I never could quite see what the issue was with "sex symbols" from Rock Hudson to George Michael not coming out because it would damage their relationship with their female fans.

Of course that was probably just a more acceptable way of expressing general homophobia, but I can look at GM and see him as an objectively beautiful man.

Not weird at all. It’s not like you’d be getting together with him even if he was straight, so it really doesn’t matter. We don’t find famous people attractive because we think they would fancy us, we find them attractive because they’re good-looking or charismatic or funny or whatever.

Yes to Richard Armitage but also I fell seriously in love with a gay man several decades ago. Of course I had to wave him off to his relationship with another man. Never stopped loving him, he was just a lovely man, and I say that in spite of loving my now DH to bits.

Oh I've fancied loads of gay men. Starting with Kenny Williams when I was 5 years old...

I was already going to say yanbu and it's no different to fancying a hot straight stranger. And now I've learned Richard Armitage is gay, I can only agree more! He's so hot and I missed the memo.
