Picture attached
This redness has appeared on my daughter's leg seemingly from nowhere....
The redness is spreading, not been bitten, quite hot to touch and feels very hard.
Waiting to hear from doctors, but putting it out there whilst waiting
Thank you x

How do you know she's not been bitten? I never know when I've been bitten, just see the bite marks afterwards.

SuperDopper · 20/01/2024 09:30

I’ve had that after a bite.

Oopsididitagaintomorrow · 21/01/2024 00:10

@AnOldCynic there are no marks there, nothing at all, no little bite marks, black marks or anything like that

Looks like a bite

ALongHardWinter · 21/01/2024 01:33

Does it itch at all? I had something very similar next to my elbow last summer and my GP said it was ringworm.

Fionaville · 21/01/2024 01:39

Look up cellulitis, if it's spreading it needs treating ASAP!

SpursFan2 · 21/01/2024 02:31

Can you phone 111 for a second opinion? Then, depending on what 111 say, probably worth ringing your GP on Monday.

There isn’t always an obvious bite once someone is bitten…

Awww, did that make you feel good about yourself? 🙄

Emma8888 · 21/01/2024 04:41

Bite or sting would be my guess, they don't always have a visible puncture wound.

MrsHughesPinny · 21/01/2024 05:02

@RogueFemale It truly shocks me that some people freely demonstrate their vileness without a hint of shame.

MrsHughesPinny · 21/01/2024 05:02

OP, I get a similar reaction to all kinds of insect bites. I often can’t see the bite itself.

That was...uncalled for. And not something I even thought or noticed.

What is going on so badly in your life, that you feel the need to be horrible to someone else? I actually feel sorry for you. You are quite pathetic.

TwoShades1 · 21/01/2024 05:28

It could still be some kind of bite or sting. Personally I would give antihistamines and some kind of pain relief and keep an eye on it.

I'm more concerned about your need to be a cow

rosie1959 · 21/01/2024 06:33

From your description OP and the fact that it is hot to touch looks like cellulitis.

I'd be more concerned that you are so horrible. There's no cure for that

CeriB82 · 21/01/2024 06:54

certainly looks like a bite. How is it looking this morning OP?

@RogueFemale has anyone ever told you to shut the fuck up?

And absolutely bizarre to focus on!

FloofCloud · 21/01/2024 08:10

I used to get these, always on the same pair of my leg, hot, raised and bizarre. I had a few once, I went to the GP showed him and he glanced over, then took a double take, and got very interested! He also thought bites so I took antihistamines which did help. Good luck!

Oopsididitagaintomorrow · 21/01/2024 08:32

Thanks all, she's been taking antihistamines since y'day and has some antihistamine cream to rub on it 3 times a day.
It looks about the same today tbh. I've done an econsult with the doctor, but won't hear until tomorrow.
@RogueFemale shut the hell up! Go take a damn good look at yourself and when you see perfection, please come talk to me and my daughter then
