Searching used thongs

On my partners Vinted account this morning (my phone was upstairs on charge)

When I opened it his last search was still on - used thongs.

I feel really weird about it.

Asked him why he's searching that. Says he was bored & curious !!?! Told him it was perverted. Why is he searching there, did he want to see pictures of them being worn? Message the women?? He says no just bored 🤷‍♀️

It's made me feel weird, he's apologised.

How would you feel? Nothing like this happened before?

The boredom excuse I can totally buy. I have also searched for used thongs, it came up in a jokey conversation about how skint we were at that point and about alternative methods of raising funds, one of which was selling used knickers, dirty shoes etc. I searched to see how much the kickers were worth, I already knew the shoe one because I’d had someone with a fetish for used shoes message me on eBay, and my sister with dainty feet got messages constantly when she sold off part of her shoe collection!

Etsy was the place to look, and they don’t go for as much as I’d have thought. Certainly not enough for me to wear the same kecks 3 days straight!

After a quick Google search there seems to be a specialized site where one can buy worn thongs called... SNIFFFR

Unless he’s actually buying them, I wouldn’t worry much about this. As others have said, it might just be curiosity, or he might just get a bit of a thrill from looking at the listings. Either way, it wouldn’t be a big deal for me. I’m pretty sure that if he had a major fetish for used knickers, this would have become apparent in your own sex life at some point.

This. Honestly, if he has just one search, it could just as easily be a 'oh wow, it's true!' sort of thing.

I wouldn't jump to conclusions unless you find the thongs or see a consistent search term.

You're a woman (presumably) therefore you would be theoretically selling the used underwear; he is a man and would not be.

Not sure why these sorts of threads are always filled with totally irrelevant "oh I did that once because ABC", with totally different circumstances.

Again, a woman's reason for searching something like this is rather likely to be fundamentally different from a man's reason for searching something like this.

So all the 'i did that once" or "it's like something I might do" are ... Irrelevant.

I have searched for the most random sex toys that don't turn me on at all, just because someone told me they exist or is into them. He could well have done the same just to have a look (especially if he thinks it's weird). I used to sell used knickers and part of the fun for some customers was that they "knew" me. So the fact that he's searching for random "used thongs" and not a specific username is a good sign. I think it comes down to how much you trust him. He says he was bored and just looking which could definitely be true – either you believe him or you don't.
