To ask, if you were a Terry's Chocolate Orange, where would you be?

My husband I were both gifted a chocolate orange for Christmas, different flavours so obvious which is which. Two days ago I sorted out the chocolate/sweets into stuff we want to put aside for a daily treat and stuff we want to eat now. I then put it in two boxes - one for each of us. Both COs were present and correct. Yesterday evening I fancied a bit of mine so went into my box but it wasn't there. Confused, I checked the kitchen where I'd put the 'portionable' stuff, not there either. Not in my husband's box (his is safely there).

I've been through my box four or five times now, there's only a few bits in there so not really anywhere for one to hide 😁We have checked under the tree/sofa/footstool with no luck. Earlier today I was getting one of our two Christmas bowls out, one was there, the other was not. Can't find it anywhere either. It's hand-wash only so after use has been washed and put away, I cannot understand where it is has gone?!

So, lovely MNetters, were is my stuff going? Will I wake up tomorrow and realise all my socks are gone...!

It's just my husband and I and no children. Had a family member visit yesterday but sincerely doubt he has nicked it! We definitely haven't eaten it.

If it's anything like mine it is inexplicably inside a bag of part-baked baguette packs that I chucked in the back room and promptly forgot about.

It's partying somewhere with the scarf I can't find, even though I know I packed it when coming home from working away, and I've turned the place upside down looking for it.

BTW, I hate sanctimonious people, esp on MN, but please, if you are gifted chocolate you don't like, put it in the food bank donation box at Tesco (other supermarkets are available), and not in the bin!

@SpikyHatePotato Yes, a CO would be a real treat for someone and it seems so wasteful to bin it.

If I were a TCO I would situate myself in the fridge. I would know that were I not kept suitably chilled, when tapped and unwrapped, instead of separating themselves so you could enjoy a little luxury, my segments would be fused together in an unattractive mush.
