To ask my SIL to delete unflattering photo of me from WhatsApp group

My SIL has shared a really unflattering photo of me on our family Whstsapp group, of me holding her then 2 year old. Pic was taken 16 years ago. It’s a really unflattering angle so I have a prominent double chin when I wouldn’t normally have one, I’ve got smudged make up on under my eyes and my hair is greasy. I’m not smiling or anything - I’m like mid speech. I definitely wouldn’t have known she was taking a pic. And I definitely wouldn’t have consented to her sharing it. There’s 9 of us in the group.

I feel quite upset about it. Maybe because I’m feeling a bit shit about my looks recently (5 months post partum, sleep deprived, hair falling out and looking shit)

She has anxiety though and is suffering with it at the moment, so I’m a bit worried to ask her to take it down. She put it on there at 11pm so I can’t do anything about it.
AIBU to ask her to delete it off the group?

I suppose you could challenge everyone to post the most unflattering old photo of themselves. Plus have a quiet word with SI about not posting pictures of you without permission. Then ask yourself why her anxiety is more important than yours.

She probably thinks it's a lovely picture of you and her baby. She isn't seeing what you're seeing. Only we focus on our insecurities, she's seeing it as a lovely touching photo of her sister and her baby.

If its upsetting you than tell her privately. But I do think you're being a bit daft

You'll make it worse asking her to remove the pic, it will draw people's attention to it and they will start looking for the 'faults' rather than looking at the picture as a whole.
If it makes you feel any better in every picture of me on my works Xmas do I have at least 4 chins! There isn't one flattering picture of me and they are shared with every employee of the company!! I could ask for them to be removed but what I'd the point? These people see me regularly and they know what I look like.....we just had a good laugh at the state of me in the photos!!

Thanks for the comments everyone. Feel a bit better after a sleep. Prob am making a mountain over a molehill.
I still wouldn’t post an unflattering pic of someone (taken unawares) on a shared group without their consent though!

Perhaps she doesn't think it's unflattering?

It'll already be saved to their camera role anyway unless they changed their settings.

I'm sure you don't look as bad as you think!

Id make light of it and say "oh bloody hell, DC looks cute as always but you could have cropped me out 🫣"
