The Dominos adverts are particularly horrendous.

It's many years since I watched television, so life is mercifully almost ad-free now, but I remember the repulsive Benetton ads from the 80s and 90s. Horrible things, I didn't even know what the hell they were advertising, and wouldn't have bought anything from them if I had.

Stopped buying Mcain products due to a fairly recent advent for Smileys, and where possible, choose other coffee shops than Costa due to their recent advert also.

I guess the ads are working in a way because I bet the bad ad companies stick out more in peoples heads than others, sure individually people can say 'well it turns me off buying it' but I presume these large companies pay a lot to ad people to know what works

All adverts are rubbish imho - designed to manipulate our brains into wanting something we didn't previously want.

I also detest the Oral B adverts so much - would never go near their products.

I've completely boycotted The Body Shop now since their anti JK Rowling campaign.

Snag tights are in my top 5 of things I don't want to be reminded of daily....tbh tights give me 'the ick' in many ways, and I mostly only wear the thicker cotton/wool ones if I wear them at all. I hate the feeling of the shinier ones....yes, I might be odd, but hey ho....🙃

I will never by anything an influencer advertise. And yes I agree. I only really buy things I need as I’m not a huge shopper. But if I want something I often pop on here and see if anyone has any recommendations. I like reviews from actual people.

What’s the problem with Snag tights? I feel like I don’t see much advertising from them, I’ve definitely bought them though!

The new Currys advert is awful and makes me want to do anything but shop there.

I've seen that advert on SM more than any other advert - it's everywhere, plus tights in general give me 'the ick'.
(Just my thoughts as I agreed with the original Snag tights comment, original poster might have different reasons).

@QuizzlyBears the models that are used. I'm absolutely in favour of body positivity. But many of the girls are morbidly obese. You wouldn't use a very underweight model.

Anything promoted by all the influencers- goodbye Oliver Bonas, Neom, Hello Fresh etc etc etc. I’m not going to subsidise their freebies.

I boycotted Google for several years, until I got a job where they use it for everything.
