I'm saying the two's is the worst age!?

My DS. Exactly 2 and half, is just so hard work. It's exhausting.
He's super needy, whingy, resistant, there's absolutely zero reasoning, he's persistent, impatient and just naughty!!

I dread taking him out on his reins these days. I just thought I'd take him and the dog on a nice walk. How * wrong was I!?
Persistent on going the other direction so he will pull and end up twisting round on the reins and go all floppy and resistent. Can't get his own way so he will sit on the floor just scream for ages. A woman even opened her front door to see what was happening! It's embarrassing! I passed 2 other people who made comments "oh dear, someone playing you up".... "been there before love"
Ahhhhhhh 😩 I just wanted to scream.

I HATE the 'terrible twos' I can't wait til it's over
Please please tell me I've not got much longer of these vile tantrums to go 🙏🏻

I give you Threenagers.........

namechange1986 · 26/09/2023 19:19

I found 4 awful.

Hummingbird233 · 26/09/2023 19:19

It's funny how all kids are different. Im on number three now and none have had the terrible twos. In fact, my two year old now is a dream, I love their company. Lots of fun, cuddles and kisses.

For us, the 4s/5s have been much harder. My lovely toddlers turned into nightmares. Tantrums, screaming, fighting, lack of listening.

Everything is a phase though, I promise!

reallyfedup12 · 26/09/2023 19:20

5 is my hardest age so far. They seem to find an attitude and don't really know how to use it.

Edinvillian · 26/09/2023 19:20

13 year old

anomaly2 · 26/09/2023 19:20

11-14

Autumn1990 · 26/09/2023 19:20

Mine were both lovely at two. Three and four however were awful. I think it depends on the child. Hopefully you’re getting the tantrum over early

OneMoreCookieMonster · 26/09/2023 19:21

Want til the freaking 4s...makes the terrible two look like a doddle

Peepshowcreepshow · 26/09/2023 19:21

I loved 2, DD was a joy. 17 is proving much less joyful.

cakecoffeecakecoffee · 26/09/2023 19:23

4 was bloody awful with both of our DC. After that, not so bad.

I give you Threenagers.........

Three for me too!

StressedToDeathhhh · 26/09/2023 19:24

I loved 2 on all my girls! I found 10-12 probably the worst age, 4 has its moments as well

Pixiedust49 · 26/09/2023 19:24

I also loved 2. Teenagers are a whole new level 🙄

MyBrownEyedHandsomeBoy · 26/09/2023 19:25

Oh lord 😩😭🫣😵

Just you wait…

Wotwotwotwotwot · 26/09/2023 19:26

2 was so hard! Mine are now 5 & 7 and despite the challenges, I find it so much easier than the 2 & 3 years!

Oysterbabe · 26/09/2023 19:26

Both of mine were a dream at 2, just so sweet and inquisitive. They're 5 and 7 now and I haven't hit a hard stage yet. I'm sure it will come 😅

yorkshirebird2382 · 26/09/2023 19:26

I think every age has different challenges. I found the toddler years particularly tough. Kids that started the day at 5.30am and didn't stop until bed......but then at 7pm they'd be in bed and generally asleep and I'd have an evening to myself
As they've got older I enjoy spending time with them and their demands feel easier to cope with......but then we now get the attitude and the ferrying around to various clubs and barely any evening time alone.
So yes it will get easier but there will be different challenges!

Loafordeath · 26/09/2023 19:28

Two was hard! It got better from three onwards, hang on in there. I'm coming up to the teen years now and bracing myself....

Hufflepods · 26/09/2023 19:29

2y3 months here and so far it’s the best age imo. So funny, so chatty, the insights into how their little brains work.
Of course some days are harder than others and sometimes the constant redirection or negotiation can be draining but overall it’s great.

shhhhdonttell · 26/09/2023 19:35

I'm finding my 20 month year old heading that way!

Blobblobblob · 26/09/2023 19:36

Four year old. FML mine is a nightmare a lot of the time.

TropicalTrama · 26/09/2023 19:37

Nursery. You need nursery!! I really appreciate my 2YO now because he’s returned to me exhausted having done all the messy play I don’t want happening in my own house. My eldest is 6 and so far the hardest age for both has been 12-18 months.

Canonlythinkofthisone · 26/09/2023 19:38

This thread is depressing 🤣🤣 my 16 month old has hit her terrible twos early. Jesus christ the ATTITUDE 🤣

I hope it gets easier

MumDadBingoBlueyy · 26/09/2023 19:39

5 with our eldest seems to be the worst so far. She’s whingey, defiant and can be quite rude, mostly when tired or hungry, fine after a sleep and once she’s eaten!
