To spend a period mourning the loss of the dark chocolate Bounty

I’ve just read that Mars are permanently ceasing production of the dark chocolate Bounty. If this is true, I am genuinely bereft.

My favourite too, been increasingly hard to find the past few years- probably why sales aren't great as no one has been able to buy them :(

I’ve been unable to find one for months already. Maybe we can start a campaign to get them back, like with salad cream.

Same and I bet one of the reasons is that hardly anywhere stocked them - normal bounties are rare enough. If shops stocked dark chocolate bounties they'd be flying off the shelves!

Wait! I’ve seen another article that says it’s been permanently delisted but this is for “temporary” operational reasons and in the meantime we can eat the blue one! At least there seems to be some hope.

Nooooo! I did not know this. I absolutely love them. Bloody hell. That's ruined my night.

They are absolutely delicious but I only ever see them stocked in out-of-the-way petrol stations or the odd small independent corner shop in the middle of nowhere.

Maybe their scarcity made them all the more exotic and delicious

I haven’t seen one for years, was telling my dark chocolate loving DD about them only a few days ago. Where were you all getting them from?

It’s desperately sad, dark chocolate bounty’s really are in a league of their own. It’s been hard to locate them for quite a while! I bought a box of Amazon a few years back but ate them too quickly🤣
I think the stockpiling ship has sailed sadly, haven’t seen them anywhere for ages😞

I do hope they return, milk chocolate bounty is just a disappointment! Don’t even know why they bother. Maybe everyone should boycott bounty sales until they relent and bring them back🧐

☹️ Dark chocolate bounties are almost the best (second only to cherry ripes).

Not the same but also a coconutty retro treat: found some of those raspberry coconut covered with dark chocolate bars called ruffles. Can be bought in b and ms in packs.

I've been reading a similar thread on another board, and one poster gave a recipe: desiccated coconut (or better still, shredded coconut), sweetened condensed milk. Mix into a stiff paste, form into bars and freeze. Melt some good quality dark chocolate in a bain marie, duck the frozen bars in so they're coated in chocolate, and leave to cool.

OMG that’s the worst news I’ve had all year. They are the absolute best chocolate bar. Haven’t had one for years though…

Also whatever happened to tubes of aniseed imperials? I think of those two things together as they were the same colour packets and I was the only one who liked either
