To spend a period mourning the loss of the dark chocolate Bounty

I’ve just read that Mars are permanently ceasing production of the dark chocolate Bounty. If this is true, I am genuinely bereft.

I'm upset dairy milk stopped doing the marvellous creations bar with the shortbread biscuit in and strawberry, does anyone remember them? But they still do the jelly popping candy ones. Also bounty are horrible, they are the chocolates that always get left in the celebrations tub. Galaxy and snickers are much better

Basically, just find a coconut ice recipe, make that, and then chop it into bounty-sized bits and cover it in dark chocolate.

The blue bounties get left in the tub. Blue bounties are ick. If they had red ones in the celebration tub it would be a different ball game.

YANBU i hate bounty and most coconut things but the dark chocolate versions are usually superior to milk chocolate and it goes past disappointment when they are a favourite and either discontinued or the new & improved cheaper recipe is terrible.
Good luck with the DIY version, Aldi/Lidl do some good dark chocolate cheap.

I've always preferred the blue ones myself. Maybe if you chip the milk chocolate off a blue one and put the coconut carcase between two strips of dark chocolate, that might work?

I don't like dark chocolate so all good for me. Mind saying that I don't like coconut but will still eat the as I adore the chocolate in them then chomp the damn coconut for ages lol

I don't understand why anyone prefers the milk chocolate one. It is too sweet and sickly.

Is there anywhere left with them so I can ahem… buy a few/truckload.

Make your own. Literally just mix dessicated coconut with condensed milk. Roll to shape. Chill then dip in dark choxolate refrigerate and gobble!

Red packaging, instead of blue…..it was mine and my mums ‘thing’ …..always picked up a couple for us when I went to stay……hey ho…..I take Cadburys dark chocolate fingers now
