I spent some time in central Mexico and found it all bland mush.

Spanish! Where we live there is a lot of Mexican food which we like too but I definitely crave Spanish food. Sometimes we have been to places advertised as Spanish tapas and they are definitely more Mexican and I'm always disappointed.
