What was the movie btw ?

And are you all hangry?

Gonjiam: Haunted Asylum

And no, we’re stuffing our faces with pizza.
So, we are watching an Korean movie, eating Italian and ’fighting’ about Spain vs. Mexico, very international of us 😀

I can't choose as I love both, and both in the UK are rubbish too.

itsmylife7 · 30/07/2023 18:57

I'd put a spanner in the works and say neither.
Curry...meat...veg...samosas...chapati...raita and so on. 😁

😂

I think and Indian curry could have featured somewhere in there.

Mexican. Never see an unhappy person in a Mexican restaurant.

EmmaPaella · 30/07/2023 19:03

Spanish! Love tapas. Mmmm.

SoyTea · 30/07/2023 19:03

Spanish, because "Patatas Bravas" is my favourite food to say.

The tequila might have something to do with that ....

Ours gives out free tequila on your birthday. It's always 'someone's' birthday at almost every table 😄

Sweetpeasaremadeforbees · 30/07/2023 19:08

Mexican definitely. Went to Spain on holiday this year and stupidly went half board in the hotel. I'm sure local restaurants would have provided lovely food but the upmarket hotel restaurant seemed to provide a choice of either bean stews or seafood with very few vegetables. Churros for breakfast were nice but I think they're Mexican?

nocoolnamesleft · 30/07/2023 19:09

Spanish beats Mexican any day.

Emmamoo89 · 30/07/2023 19:09

Spanish

Hoppinggreen · 30/07/2023 19:11

Spanish but mainly because Mexican has peppers in it too much of the time abd they make me ill
Spanish food does too but not as much

I thought Churros were Portuguese.

We are going truly international here 😄

It's like asking whether an apple or an orange is better.

They're both good - when well done.

I've lived in Spain, & love their food.
I've spent a long time in Mexico, & love their food.

What I don't like is what is often passed off in UK as authentic when I KNOW it's not

VeridicalVagabond · 30/07/2023 18:45

Mexican without a shadow of a doubt and I lived in Spain for a year

Agree and I've vacationed in Spain twice. Love the country but love Mexican food.

Churros are most definitely NOT Portuguese but you'll be forgiven if you don't think Portugal's in Latin America next to Brazil, and the official language's Spanish.

pastatriangles · 30/07/2023 19:35

Mexican. No comparison

OnAWobblyFence · 30/07/2023 19:36

Neither. They are completely different. And everyone has different tastes. You’re not comparing a like for like.

Oceanus · 30/07/2023 19:38

Mexican food all the way!

Florissante · 30/07/2023 19:39

Mexican.

Spanish simply because I prefer flavor instead of heat.

Mexican food isn't generally super hot

user64827771 · 30/07/2023 21:32

Tacos, nachos, tortillas!!!
