Long white weird facial hairs

AIBU to think that 3 inch long white hairs can grow out of your face in a matter of hours.
Just pulled one out of my chin, I know for a fact it wasn't there this morning. I know it wasn't there!!!
It was really thin and wispy and long

Its happened before, please tell me I'm not the only freak in the world.

No it’s an age thing they aren’t there one day but long the next day and you wonder how it grew so quickly need a good pair of tweezers

Oh, the overnight hairs! Absolute nightmare. Literally one day not there, and the next day an inch-long pipe cleaner poking out of my chin. Madness.

Deffo not alone though mine are frequently black. We just had a super moon didn’t we? So I’ve been wondering whether this is where the werewolf myth comes from, as it seems I now turn into a werewolf in harmony with the moon 🤔

I have one on the side of my nose. It turns up roughly once every couple of years. It won’t be there and then suddenly I’ll feel a tickle and it will be an inch long

They grow under the skin, curled up usually, then once they break the surface voila a long hair! Every time I get one I’m mortified that it could have been seen for days but seeing as I check my chin daily I know that can’t be true

I assume its the light angle rather than something growing 3 inches overnight OP- and it had been hiding there for sometime!

I'm not even menopausal, but recently found a wispy hair growing out the centre of my forehead! I mean- even men don't get hair there 😬

I think they're called Hag Hairs just to cheer you up even more!

This is true, I saw it happen on my face once when poking around in front of the mirror and that solved that mystery.

I get long white wispy ones....but when I try and pluck them they stretch!!!

I have one on my chest like that, just under my collar bone, I don’t even have hair on my chest so it’s a bit bizarre. Seems to appear overnight as well!

Regularly get one right in middle of forehead, I know it can't have been there long without noticing but always an inch long when I find them!

Me too, but my hairdresser spotted mine, talk about mortified.

I get one on my forehead like that. It looks like a loose hair until I go to remove it and then find it's attached.

I have to check my face in good lighting with a magnifying mirror a pair of reading glasses and a set of tweezers at least every other day for hair otherwise I look like a fucking rabbi, I know their favourite spots to hide by now.

I remember once sitting in a cafe with a friend and her saying “keep still , you’ve got something on you” she reached over to pluck a hair off me and I nearly bounced my head off the fucking table, it was growing out of my neck and was SEVERAL inches long .

This has made be both recoil in horror and laugh out loud 😂

If it helps even Celebs get hag hairs. Jasmin Roth (American tv presenter) did an Instagram Video of hers on her forehead.
