Anyone else in the queue to pre register? I’ve been queuing over an hour and this isn’t even to get tickets! How much do you think they’ll cost?

I'm 100% positive when it was the Ed Sheeran gigs in Ipswich a few years ago, the person who bought the ticket had to be attending. There was a big deal about it because there were loads of parents who had bought tickets for their kids because they had the credit card info.

I'm surprised that all of the dates are on sale at the same time. You would have thought they would have staggered the times slightly to ease website traffic demand, so for example Wembley #1 at 2pm, Wembley #2 at 4pm, Wembley #3 at 6pm and Wembley #4 at 8pm

In an ideal world, I wish that they try to limit people to one show, just so that more people have a chance of getting tickets but obv that could never happen.

I'm just hoping that if Wembley holds 90k-100k for concerts, that's 360,000-400,000 tickets available for London alone. I really hope that I can go.

It does annoy me though how they don't mention anything of ticket prices....I genuinely believe that should be a key part of the pre-registration info.

Ed sheeran does things like that for all his gigs - they (cause I’m assuming it’s not him personally 😂) also cancel tickets that have been resold for more than face value.

You can contact ticketmaster about changing the names on tickets though, I’ve done that before with tickets I’ve bought for my DD.

HewasH20 · 21/06/2023 09:29

@nicky2512 I hope they won't do a Hamilton and insist on the buyer being present, although they are desperately trying to prevent the touts. I could get away with taking DD when she was 16 (just after her last GCSE) but I think I'd cramp her style now. It's still like to buy them for her though.

I'll probably be cramping my DGD's style - she'll be 15 by then, but that's too bad! If I'm lucky enough to get tickets she'll have to put up with her old grandma Grin

@tabulahrasa Ticketmaster monumentally pissed me off with our Ed tickets. He played 4 shows in Ipswich, we had tickets for the second night, but my husband had double booked himself, so we wanted to swap for the 4th night. The only way ticketmaster would let me do it, was to pay for tickets for the 4th night, then sell my initial tickets through their reselling platform.

All fine.
But, when you re-sell tickets through their platform, you don't get the money until something like 30 days after the gig. So me reselling the tickets 9 months in advance, meant I had to wait 10 months to actually receive the money that the buyer had paid for when he bought the tickets from me

Oh ticketmaster is a nightmare.

But specifically on someone buying tickets for a present or whatever, it’s usually fairly easy to swap out the names on them.

thebellagio · 21/06/2023 10:02

@tabulahrasa when I looked at my ticketmaster account this morning, I hadn;'t booked anything through them since because they pissed me off so much.

I normally use AXS, they seem a bit better organised that TM.

To be honest, after the fuck up that Ticketmaster made with the American dates, I'm surprised Taylor has let them handle her European sales. After all, she's the one that will get it in the neck if it goes wrong again

tabulahrasa · 21/06/2023 10:12

@thebellagio

i don’t think you can boycott ticketnaster, that’s one of the issues with them - they’ve pretty much got a monopoly.

Artists definitely could do more though, but I don’t think they can actually avoid ticketmaster.

Brrrrrrrrrrrr · 21/06/2023 10:17

Madness. This is what puts me off going to big shows nowadays. The hoops you have to jump through just takes the fun out of it. I’ll wait for resale and pay over the odds to pick where I want to sit 💰🥹

thebellagio · 21/06/2023 10:21

You know what? I genuinely think the easiest booking experience I’ve ever had was back when Michael Jackson announced the 50 day residency at the 02. I remember that being very well organised and easy to get tickets - and remember that was competing against the entire world because he wasn’t going to tour anywhere else.

SummaLuvin · 21/06/2023 09:35

5th-6th - you will get confirmation if your pre-registration was successful or waitlisted and if successful you will be given a code to access general sale

10th-12th - pre-sale for those who pre-ordered midnights back in October

18th-20th - sales open for those who got given a code following their pre-registration

this is what I understand it to be, there is over a week between pre-sale and general sale, so not sure if more pre-sales are planned but not announced

Thanks for this that's very helpful! So I'm looking at the 18th -20th then (and I'm travelling those dates aarggh - feeling stressed already!).

I just dread to imagine how much this will cost though...!

thebellagio · 21/06/2023 10:37

I agree @Sunnydaysareahead I'd like to know at least a ballpark figure of how much it will cost.

What if you got allocated a pre-sale code, but then found out you couldn't afford it? You'd be gutted wouldn't you?

I don't have a credit card, but I'm tempted to sign up for a 0% interest one now so I've got one ready and then I can spread the costs

larkstar · 21/06/2023 10:49

But @Brrrrrrrrrrrr there isn't a bigger gig on the planet ATM is there? I kick myself inside for not coughing up to go to the Kate Bush gigs a couple if years ago. It's not really MsTS's fault there is so much demand - it's off the scale. To me, pre-registering is like buying a lottery ticket. I referred my vows with live music about a month ago when I went to see Canadian Ron Sexsmith - in the past decade or so I've become disenchanted with live music but the RS gig was so beautiful and uplifting... but it was an intimate gig in a church with only about 250 people there.

tabulahrasa · 21/06/2023 10:54

Just a guess, but based on the reputation tour, the cancelled lover gig and recent overseas pricing...I’m expecting prices to be between 100 and 350 for tickets and more for packages.

SummaLuvin · 21/06/2023 10:57

@thebellagio I would look into pricing for Beyonce and Harry Styles, they have been doing UK stadiums very recently, and are as big (if not bigger than TS) in the UK. I would think they would be in and around the same area of price.

StrawberryWater · 21/06/2023 11:06

Did the pre register things last night still no email confirmation. If nothing by this evening I’ll guess I’ll have to try again. I got through with no waiting on a queue as well so pretty annoying.

thebellagio · 21/06/2023 11:06

Thanks, so that seems to be anywhere between £50-£170

I know from the FAQs, we can only be in seated areas because my child is under 14 and thats fine with me

I think the most I've ever paid was £85 each for Ed SHeeran, and possibly £125 each for Dolly Parton, who was worth EVERY PENNY.

tabulahrasa · 21/06/2023 11:12

It’s been all seated so far, no standing areas.

i’d usually be going for floor seats, but from the American shows, honestly, not sure it’s worth it as the stage is so big that I think it’ll be a better view a bit further up.

ApplesInTheSunshine · 21/06/2023 11:37

I’m sure I remember looking at prices of around £89 in her last tour a few years ago. Unfortunately didn’t go!

TheFlis12345 · 21/06/2023 12:05

I’ve realised I will be on holiday in Europe for the Midnights pre sale on the 10th, does anyone know of that would prevent me buying tickets? I don’t know if they limit it to UK based IPs?

You could always use a VPN

TheFlis12345 · 21/06/2023 12:28

@KarmaIsMyBF I’m thinking about that but was worried it would slow down the connection? I know absolutely nothing about VPNs though.

People travel to other countries for concerts, so I can’t imagine it’s an issue.

TheFlis12345 · 21/06/2023 15:38

I’m hoping so @tabulahrasa I’ll check the T&Cs on the email .

KerryCherry2162 · 21/06/2023 16:19
