So many divided opinions on this! So it’s all in the title- AIBU to wash all new clothes? For adults, not babies! I have a pile of new holiday clothes and plan on washing all before packing case. Was talking to someone who said no way- total waste of time; she just chucks them in!

I have a unique talent for dropping sauce etc on new clothes within an hour or so of putting them on, so I don't bother washing before the Inaugural Stain.

Are diseases and skin irritations rife?

I wash baby clothes, towels, bedding and underwear before use but just regular adult clothes get worn straight away.

You have no idea what happens to them in the factory and then travelling to their designated shops. Always wash first. And people wonder why diseases and skin irritations are rife.

I don't think they are rife. Evidence?
