AIBU to cancel my subscription to the Jewish Chronicle because of Giles Coren?

I was shocked that Giles Coren was announced as the new cooking columnist of the Jewish Chronicle this week. My own family and also my elderly parents have subscribed to the JC for a long time, but I am seriously thinking of cancelling my subscription. I can't understand why the fact that Giles Coren created an alt account to send himself and his wife anti-Semitic abuse is not an issue for the editor of the JC. The JC also employ Nick Cohen as a columnist, who was fired from the Observer after sexually harassing a colleague. I feel disturbed and disgusted. The JC used to be a reputable publication. Why has it become a sort of last chance saloon for media sex pests and racists. Should I write a letter of complaint to the editor before cancelling my subscription?

Doesn't say much for the editor really. giving this idiot a platform who is known for hate speech. I would vote with my purse and cancel tbh.

Not unreasonable at all. Coren is a nasty piece of work.

Giles Coren is odious but if the Jewish Chronicle decide to hire him, they need to accept that some people won't like it and will cancel their subscriptions.

Giles Coran? No I wouldn't blame you at all. I'm not a fan of cancel culture in general but I would quite happily see him rubbed out of society.
