Considering Cam girl work when I can't work traditionally

Hear me out

I am a FT carer and need to catch up on some sleep whilst my DC is at school.

That leaves, roughly, 3 or 4 hours a day for a job of any sort.

Ideally it'll be something self employed because my DC has a lot of medical appointments sometimes and this is tricky when a job is already term time only in a school, which I've left before as it was getting a bit silly with the time off

I've looked into those remote live chat jobs - an example is something like Argos or whatever, you click on chat to an agent and someone helps you. That sort of thing. But I've found 0

I'm thinking Cam work might work? Or at least worth trying? I'm not bothered about showing myself... my flesh is mine to keep. Nobody is touching me.

I have even thought of taking in ironing but there are companies who are big around here who already provide this service. The same goes for dog walking

I live in the countryside sort of semi rural and there is a local dog walker and doggy daycare type of place that provides safe open fields and stuff for dogs! So you would have ridiculous competition

Don't rule out ironing etc, it's pretty popular as a service for lazy people like us who have more cash than time quite frankly. A bedding service might be a good niche for instance, many older people struggle with duvets etc - think you weekly go to their house, change the covers and sheets, take dirty ones home launder then return following week repeat (I'd pay for that!)

Agree with people saying it's not easy money. It takes a lot of time and effort and is over-saturated, there are so many women doing the same thing. Iv never done live cam work I don't have the guts or the skills but have sold used underwear and made private intimate videos for different people and sold nude photos. It wasnt on onlyfans though. The most I ever made was £200 in a week but that was very very unusual. I did this mainly to pay off debts I had as I didn't get any money from my DH. I did some pretty degrading stuff which I wud prob get judged for on here. It does worry me that the videos are still prob out there with my face and whole body on but it was my decision. You just have to think about it carefully OP but don't think it will be easy money or pay well without a lot of effort.

I wouldn't for many of the reasons said but also don't forget once you do this you are open to people recording you, taking photos of you , putting you permanently onto porn sites where it will get copied, reposted and live forever.

It could affect other job prospects you may have when you are no longer caring FT, your family or friends may become aware of it, or others in your life and some people will judge you adversely for it.

I wouldn't rule out being small/independent. We have a cleaner and deliberately wanted one that wasn't a company. We wanted someone who worked for themselves as we wanted the one to one personal service.

Does it have to be from home? We also have a mother's help who does 3pm-7pm. She picks up from school/nursery, comes to the house, makes the kids tea, plays with them, tidies round a bit, sometimes takes the eldest to a class. DH and I are working from home in the house at the time.

Prostitution gives you PTSD. Cam girl is a form of prostitution. You could well end up with a lot of mental damage. You are objectifying yourself, and that is dangerous mentally. Your personhood is denied and that is a huge part of what traumatises people. Don't do it. It's not nice and it's not easy. It's certainly not worth the money.

God I would never lower myself to do such a job, have some self respect op.
What about cleaning, it's pretty flexible?

I think a domiciliary care agency would take you on for 3-4 hours a day. And they are always desperate for staff.

No way OP. I can see that you feel desperate but prostitution/sex work is just so degrading. You're worth so much more than this. Are you creative? Have you looked on Etsy for some kind of craft you could make?

My friend made me something beautiful that cost little to make but I could have paid much more for it. It was one of those quite deep IKEA photo frames. She got a wooden letter for the start of my daughters first name and attached it to a vintage looking tag with the date of the event. These were glued to the inside of the frame beside a photo of my baby and some sparkly plastic crystal things that kind of roll around at the bottom. It sounds horrible but it's beautiful and I don't think you'd need much artistic skill to make them, just a good glue gun!if I needed some work from home style work, I'd far sooner tap into that than porn!

Oh and my daughters first name was spelt out with silver letters that were just glued on to the mount individually.

Do up a few mock ups and advertise them on your local Facebook community page. Sorry I keep having more ideas!

I thought about it for a short while but unless you're in amazing shape it probably won't earn as much as you think.

If you want to make money doing cam work, you will need to put in a hell of lot more time than 3-4 hours a day. Also, you need to advertise and use social media to promote yourself, which again takes time.

Have you done any actual research to see the sheer amount of cam girls who do this for a living and work all hours of the day, and are barely scraping by?

Have you actually thought about what it will entail? By this I mean that many want personalised individual content. Others want taboo chat and role-plays.

By all means, go for this if you think it will work for you but do your research and go in with your eyes open.

A friend of mine is a part time teacher, and has started a cleaning job on her 1 day off. She has got clients via word of mouth + Facebook. She says she could easily work as a cleaner all week because the demand is so high. She charges £25 an hour and works 5 hours in a day in between the school run.

Do it - if you’re comfortable doing it then do it.

Although on the dog walking you probably would be able to get a few dogs to walk as most dog walkers and doggy daycare places have waiting lists there massive demand for dog walking atm.

It's all prostitution, essentially. There is no money without suffering in this field. The selling of shoes and underwear involves producing 'content'. Often what you see is a code and not what you get.

Hi Ironing lady here £25 for 20 mixed items of clothing do not do bedding or curtains for this price which with a steam generator iron will take less than one hour, to me the upside of this is you can do this work in the holidays, at night watching tv, and when the kids are in school and in bed /on holidays. collect one day deliver next day. advertise in local post offices and do not pay for adverts which claim to be for charities as they are usually a scam maybe make a leaflet and photocopy and put on cars as you walk past car parks and schools and local businesse,s its a honest living love take care

Speaking personally ive not done cam work on sites mainly because they take quite a lot of commission off you, but ive sold underwear, tights, shoes etc on various sites, also sold content. Most of my niche is being a mistress type though so i never got naked, it was more about the tease, and also did/do financial domination and having submissives do tasks, this is all online though, never met any in real life.
