to ask what cigarettes i should buy

Just that really, circumstances have meant I may as well smoke again please don't judge.
i used to smoke silk cut what is that equivalent now ?'id like to know what i'm asking for

No judgement here! I’m not going to bore you with risks etc, I assume you’re an adult.

Silk Cut are still a thing, come in silver (0.1mg) or purple (0.5mg).

Don’t know how long you’ve been off them but can only buy packs of 20 now rather than 10 and it’s around £16 a pack.

I wouldn't bother! You will stink after and probably wish you hadn't bothered and would you set fire to a twenty quid note?
If you really feel you need something then you could vape. After the initial outlay - you need only buy refill bottles in whatever flavour floats your boat.
I've never been a smoker but DH went to vaping after smoking since a teenager - he's worse now about smokers and their stink than me !!

I love Benson Gold, but Silk Cut Purple are still a thing. No need to ask for 20 anymore… no tens these days!

But vaping stinks too and is just as nearly as bad as smoking 😶

I was told Silk Cut didn't do that low any more and went on Marlboro Gold! This was in lockdown so maybe there was no supply?

Not going to judge (as an ex-smoker) - if you haven't started again - try not to. Didn't you struggle to stop, I know I did.
I worked as a Nurse for many years in E.N.T. - throat cancer is something you don't want. Smoking significantly increases your chances of contracting this horrible disease.

@Rainbow1901 I used to smoke, haven't for years, but even the thought nowadays makes me feel physically sick! With prices now, it's an unjustifiable waste of money too.
I do not miss that wheezy cough one bit.

Benson Gold are the best, but expensive.
Marlboro Lights are nice occasionally, but not the same hit.
How long did you quit for?

I used to smoke Benson and Hedges.

I don't think a terminal diagnosis is the only reason for saying that, but certainly hope it isn't the reason.

You might want to think about about your relationship with others. I love my friends but the smokers still stink.

If you have no mates / kids etc. then do what you like.

I'm sorry that you feel 'you might as well', but whatever your situation is, smoking can only cause you further problems.

if you might need to spend time in hospital you'll end up with withdrawal symptoms.

it won't do your health any good & could make symptoms much worse.

and very sadly I can only think of one thing where smoking really wouldn't matter and if that's on your mind you need to phone a friend or the Samaritans or 999.

£16 quid a pack, bloody hell. I feel old when I say back in the day you could buy 10 cigarettes for £1.27. I smoked Marlboro gold or mild sevens (Japanese brand). I stopped 20 years ago, I wonder if I’d saved the not smoking cash what I could of bought nowadays.

I always said when I’m old I will take up gin and cigarettes ( I don’t drink just now either) sadly I don’t think I’ll be able to afford them in another 20 years!

Aren't vapes the thing now? Get one with whatever flavour you want wafting around you. Raspberry, Bubble gum, nail varnish remover. Whatever you like.

I remember saying I would stop when they got to two quid a pack 🤣. I did eventually, although it took a few more years.

Marlboro menthols were lovely, although I was a Marlboro Red and later a Marlboro Light person 😊
