You can buy menthol filters or little ball things to turn normal cigs menthol. It's a right faff tho. Lots of menthol vape options..

Could you consider roll-ups?

Golden Virginia Yellow is a good sub for Silk Cut and I like that you can use the filters to choose how long a smoke you want.

My usual is 2 filters, which gives you a much shorter cig than ready made, and also stops the roll-up finger staining.

If you want a short few puffs, you can add a third filter or just not fill the paper all the way along.

Before I converted, I used to smoke 40 Silk Cut a day! I don't even want to do those sums.

Now get through about 60gms a week, about £20 for 30gms plus papers and filters.

For those of you that have mentioned you can't buy menthol cigarettes anymore, you can if you know where to go.
They are foreign ones, and very cheap.

Round here it's the Asian newsagents that have them under the counter. You just ask.

You can still get menthol filters if you fancy rolling your own.

I haven’t smoked in a few years but Silk Cut were always a bit more expensive than the likes of Mayfair or Pall Mall so you might want to consider other options if cost is an issue. £16 a pack sounds painfully expensive! I hope you’re okay. If there’s anything you want to talk through then there will be plenty of people on here willing to listen.

They're all I ever have. The nearest thing you can get to fresh air and still smoke. I don't (so far, touch wood) suffer any smoking related illnesses, lung capacity is good. I dread to think where I'd be if I smoked anything stronger.

BH blue are about £12 max a packet. Not sure where cigarettes cost £16 a packet!!

No menthols any more apparently! I used to love the Lambert and Butler clicky fags that turned to menthol. I assume they’re not allowed any more either.

No. You can get menthol filters for roll-ups, but they're not the saaaaame
