To think I have to put that I'm a larger lady on OLD?

I have recently been dipping my toes back into OLD. I have a date arranged for next weekend. I plan to eat healthy and exercise up until then just to make myself feel good.

I am overweight, and on my profile it's really only face pics and I don't think anyone could tell I'm overweight.

I have been googling, 'dating and being overweight' and lots of the advice was to put a full length pic on site or state that you are 'curvy'.

I am now so worried as I've been speaking a bit with this guy and terrified that he turns up and thinks I've deceived him.

AIBU to bring this up or do I just turn up and act confident? He's ten years older, seems very polite and is looking for something serious, weight hasn't come up.

This is my body size if it matters any, excuse the nipples, and the crocs 😂 definitely won't be that pic I upload to tinder.

Basically I'm asking, do you think my weight needs to be addressed before meeting or just leave it?

You can't be serious? You're not 'curvy' you are slim.

DiabolicalDee · 12/04/2023 21:40

I wouldn't even call that large. Love your pillow!

theelil · 12/04/2023 21:40

I'm not, I have diabetes so slim enough legs but struggle at stomach area

why not just be upfront and be factually honest in your profile?

CrotchetyQuaver · 12/04/2023 21:40

By todays standards you're well within the normal range...

Newtrix · 12/04/2023 21:41

I.would certainly add full length photos of yourself, I think it's a bit disingenuous that you've only put photos on that don't show your true self. Nothing wrong with being overweight and surely you'd want someone who thinks you're beautiful as you are.

Thehop · 12/04/2023 21:41

You're not overweight. You don't need to call yourself anything.

foxlover47 · 12/04/2023 21:42

@theelil I think you have a great figure , and I love your bedroom too
Go and have a fab time :)

whatsyourpoison12 · 12/04/2023 21:42

id just put curvy x you look fab wish I had your figure

CorinaCortado · 12/04/2023 21:43

🙄🙄🙄

Wavescrashingonthebeach · 12/04/2023 21:44

You don't look overweight. But do ensure to swap realistic photos no filters etc no extreme angles.

PonyPatter44 · 12/04/2023 21:44

If you put "larger lady" in your profile, you will be swamped by the weird chubby-chasers who will reject you for not being large enough! You aren't what I was expecting when you said larger, so don't worry.

I do think its a good idea to have a full-body photo of some sort on your profile (not that one though!), purely so that anyone who is really fixated on body type can rule themselves out.

aureus3012 · 12/04/2023 21:45

I think you look a completely average size so just put on a nice dress and enjoy your date. I'm sure he is no gym buff either. If it would make you feel more confident, take a full length pic when you are dressed up to use on your profile in future (should you be back OLD) Good luck!

itsmylife7 · 12/04/2023 21:45

Nope you're fine as you are OP

Luredbyapomegranate · 12/04/2023 21:45

Put up some full length pics.

You are hardly huge so I wouldn’t worry about this guy.

Haveawordwithyourusband · 12/04/2023 21:47

You absolutely don’t look overweight. Hope you have a great time!

Emigratingimmigrant · 12/04/2023 21:47

You covered your face but just wanted to say some parts might be clearly identifying to people who may know you. Sometimes small things don't hit us straight away when posting

Do you know me? 😂

StopFeckingFaffing · 12/04/2023 21:49

IMHO you are not overweight enough to require a 'curvy' or 'larger lady' label

Emigratingimmigrant · 12/04/2023 21:50

theelil · 12/04/2023 21:48

Do you know me? 😂

No 😁 But people get identified like that easily. Massive forum and it gets out of here too sometimes

2muchtimeonline · 12/04/2023 21:50

You’re not what is considered larger at all, I think if you put LL on your profile people would expect a very different person. Anecdotally I think you are close to the average ? Anyway I hope he’s nice and you enjoy meeting him

AutisticLegoLover · 12/04/2023 21:51

I think you should be honest and post full length photos. Good luck!

Choccyeggs20 · 12/04/2023 21:56

You look fine so no need to put anything down just show up!

Regularfantaorange · 12/04/2023 21:57

Do not call yourself a larger lady. The men who reply will be disappointed to find that you are not large and those who would be attracted to your body type will not reply. I think you should just put up full length pictures. You look good.

NCforthispurpose · 12/04/2023 22:03

No need to specify anything on the profile but definitely add full length pictures so you don’t waste time meeting with guys who are only interested in a particular/slim type and won’t take it further.
