To try for Eurovision tickets

We're saving really hard for a house at the moment so treats are few and far between. However I have always loved Eurovision, I have such lovely memories of watching as a child. This year its in the UK and very near me. AIBU to just bite the bullet and try and get tickets. It really feels like once in a lifetime for me but it is expensive

Does anyone know if I'll be allowed to take a small mobile phone charger into the arena for the final?

You should be fine as long as it's in bag "no larger than A4" according to their FAQ.

There's quite a long list of things you can't take in, but no mention of phone chargers. Personally, I'm disappointed that cowbells and glitter bombs are on the list of prohibited items! 😆

Has anyone had any information about checking photo ID.

Dh is ill and has tested positive for covid. Currently I'm fine just feel a little hay feverish but just in case I was to get ill and unable to go would dd be able to go without me if she had my ticketmaster account and credit card on her?

Has anyone got their ticket yet? Every time I check the app the ticket shows that the details are not yet available

Will I be allowed to take a small power bank (Belkin or similar) in? It's just to charge my phone.

Not yet, had an email to say they will show about 3 days before

When did Eurovision become so loooooooooong? Last time I was careless enough not to miss it it was on for a couple of hours on Saturday! It sounds like it's going on forever, hopefully not on the TV or it'll be like the wall-to-wall snooker.

I worked at the Birmingham venue back in 1998 and it was always so long you just didn't always see it. Multiple dress rehearsals/jury show/family show. The difference now is that they show the semi finals on TV.

@ChickenNugget86

If you're still interested, you may well be in luck!!!

There are now resale tickets available for the various semi-final preview shows and the actual live semi-finals on Tuesday & Thursday evenings!

If any of the 'ubiquitous' MNers on 'high 6-figure salaries' - or otherwise 'money no object' - are interested in going to the Eurovision Final on Saturday, there is one buttock-clenchingly expensive hospitality suite still available for 12 people!

Yes, if you and 11 friends want to go to the grand final and you are fortunate enough to have £45,000 at your disposal - now is your last chance to fill your EV boots!!

So I went last night for the semi final preview. It was so good! Just watched the show on TV and saw the results. Gutted for Ireland they were one of my faves!

Don't feel bad about Ireland! They sacked their manager because he stood up for women!
