Why the rush?

Give it a year

buildingourdreams · 26/02/2023 17:27

What's with the title 😩🤣🤣🤣🤣

Op if this is real just chill and enjoy your baby for now.
Eat sensibly and it will soon come off

Skinnermarink · 26/02/2023 17:30

This makes no sense.

greenbackers · 26/02/2023 17:30

Breastfeed?

Breastfeed?

I think at seven weeks PP it’s not something you can just start up if you’re not already doing it.

SomersetONeil · 26/02/2023 17:34

What’s losing weight got to do with the life of the rich?

TellerTuesday · 26/02/2023 17:35

It's absolutely nothing to with money & everything to do with genetics imo

BrieAndChilli · 26/02/2023 17:36

The title and content do not make any sense!

Fatty91 · 26/02/2023 17:36

I'm not breast-feeding.

Fatty91 · 26/02/2023 17:39

I was actually going to say if I was rich I'd get a home gym built erm well I need to lose if for when I go back to work at the end of june then having my daughters christening in August I don't want to be restricted on what outfits I can choose from.

I found going out walking pushing the pram to be good exercise .
But at 7 weeks pp you need to give yourself a chance for everything to get fully back to normal.

Fatty91 · 26/02/2023 17:45

I do go out for walks with the pram its just hard I'm eating a lot then regretting it after I need a diet that still allows me to have foods that i like

OP posts:
PermanentTemporary · 26/02/2023 17:47

Myfitnesspal is by far the simplest.

backtoitin40s · 26/02/2023 17:48

Sadly I think that's where the phrase 'you can't have your cake and eat it' stems from...

  • Download MyFitnessPal, set a calorie limit and log all your food.
  • Only drink water or (unsweetened) herbal teas. Drink a LOT of water.
  • Once you feel able, start exercising. You don’t need a gym, there are loads of great trainers on YouTube. Find one you like and do 30-45 minutes of HIIT or tabata, three days a week. Do some strength training twice a week.
northernlola · 26/02/2023 17:50

My Fitness Pal. Log everything you're eating, see how many calories it is (a rough idea is fine, each day will fluctuate) then set yourself a lower goal and stick to it. Log everything. You can scan barcodes, it becomes so quick once your favourite foods are on there. Don't attempt to go too low, your body is recovering, you've got a little one to take care of, and you deserve to feel good while you do this. Pick a sustainable target (use an online calculator if you need to) and stick to it. You'll get there.

But also.. it's fine to go to the christening whatever size you are!!

Notcontent · 26/02/2023 17:54

@Fatty91 i don’t think a home gym would help you that much. The only way to lose weight is to slightly reduce your calories (in the short term, to lose the weight) but also change the food you eat so that you don’t put the weight back on - so no ultra processed and sugary crap.

Suzi888 · 26/02/2023 17:57

What foods do you like? Depends what they are, sometimes you can modify them slightly.

greenbackers · 26/02/2023 17:30

Breastfeed?

An absolute myth.

Breast feeding tightens the uterus but it doesn’t make you lose weight.

Fatty91 · 26/02/2023 18:03

I'll download the app thank you.
I will be there obviously but I'd like to feel comfortable I hate previous photos from my 6 year olds christening so this time i want go look better.

Cosycover · 26/02/2023 18:04

I did slimming world after my 1st and lost 2 stone in 2 months.

But I altered the plan a little. For instance I didn't eat low fat yogurt because it has absolutely zero point in life. I ate full fat greek.

Cancankan · 26/02/2023 18:11

Move more and eat less. Why would having a gym in your home make you more likely to loose the weight? Are you unable to use a local gym?

LandlubbingKraken · 26/02/2023 18:18

Literally thought I'd opened the wrong thread accidentally 😄.

Fatty91 · 26/02/2023 18:18

I cant go to the gym I've nobody to look after my baby partners at work all day then have other children so can't go in the evening as they'd never see me I used to to go to the gym years ago and did lose weight then started again last year but stopped last found out I was pregnant and started severe morning sickness so no energy to do exercise.
