Censoring pictures of pets

I follow a minor celeb on Instagram who regularly posts pictures of her two dogs

A few days ago, she posted a pic of them asleep, with a twee emoji sticker covering the genital area of one of them, and a mention in the caption about preserving her modesty.

I thought it was a bit weird at the time but have now noticed several other similar pics on other accounts. Is this a thing?

Surely no one cares that a bit of dog dick or vulva is showing on a pic?! What do they think will happen?

Judging from the way my dog lies on her back with everything on show, she definitely isn’t bothered…

It gets people on social media talking. Had you given the person’s name, people would be looking at the account. That’s why, they just want more views and follows.

I am in a few dog groups on FB, and this is a thing on there too. Assholes, vulvas and penises all censored. The dog will never care.

I’ve seen it and it’s ridiculous. Dogs don’t have a culture of wearing underwear over their genitals. Do these silly people avert their eyes at the shocking site of horse dick when they pass fields?

What is bad about seeing animal genitals on show? It is literally as nature intended.

I haven't seen this on cats interestingly. I do wonder if it's because people are lately giving animals human emotions when talking about them and treating them, so much so this is just another step.

I have seen random ads on social media selling a little mini chain that goes around a cat's tail, and has a sparkly gem hiding their arsehole.

OP I find it weird too. I took a photo recently, my dog has very short fur but is tidy and clean. You could, if you wanted to, work out where his bum hole is in that photo. But we all have them and people need to chill out.

Maybe it's because the automatic systems can't tell the difference between human and animal genitals - so people do this to make sure their photos don't get deleted?

theres a woman on my Facebook whos dog has a massive dick. In every photo it proper stands out 🙈 I don’t think I’d mind if she did it as it’s quite distracting Hahahhaha but I’m certainly not offended by it, I could totally understand if she actually wanted to do it.

i hope it doesn’t catch on tho. My dogs both love laying on their backs showing off their bums

Do you sit there with an obvious look of disdain on your face too? Cos you can't seem to be able to control your facial features at perfectly normal stuff

If any human has genitalia that resembles that of my dog, they need to get to a doctor pronto…

My quite old phone can tell the difference between my 2 DS which people say look like twins. So I hope instagram’s AI system can tell the difference between a dog dick and a human one
