To be completely obsessed with Heartstopper

Please help me 🤣

I am a 46 year old (straight) woman and I have always had a tendency to become emotionally attached to books or films. I am a sucker for a love story and completely immerse myself in storylines. I have recently watched the Heartstopper series on Netflix and I literally cannot stop thinking about it 🤣 It is just such a sweet story and it has me longing for my teenage years. Please tell me I’m not alone! 🤣

MrsRonaldWeasley DD and I always watch something in the evening. We need something brilliant to replace The Traitors! She was not that bothered by Heartstopper but we'll stick with it

It is so lovely. Nick is absolutely the sweetest.

It just gives the warm fuzzy feeling that makes you go "awwwww"

And also getting slightly annoyed at Charlie for apologising all the time 😆

It really does give you the warm fuzzy feeling and I completely agree that Nick is incredibly sweet - the whole show is so sweet! 😍

I watched it 4 times, I’m straight, happily married and older than you.

it invokes a wistfulness. The teenage love we all desired. Takes you right back to all the longing and crushes.

This is EXACTLY what it is!!!

Funnily enough I spoke about it at work on Fri and 3 colleagues of different ages all said the same thing: "it's soooo sweet!" We've now watched 3 and we're liking it

My 15 year old DD loves these books and the TV series. And she has SEN so she doesn't read much. It was great to find books she liked.
I read the books and we watched the show together. It is a lovely story and nice that a story about gay kids doesn't end in tragedy as was usually the case when I was growing up in the 80s.
It's lead to some good conversations too.

I am 40,straight & have been on my own for 10 years, and I am obsessed with heartstopper i totally agree with your post & so nice to know i am not alone. I get very obsessed with books and films and the characters where is does take over my life abit and makes me sad after watching heartstopper wanting my younger years back and a beautiful love story. I've watched it so many times & when I am not watching it I am thinking about it.

Was about to come and make a post and realised someone else had already perfectly summarised how I feel!

I love all the little fizzes when they’re almost touching hands!!

Really hoping my teens get lovely teen romances like these so I can live vicariously through them 😁

so glad to see this message , im your age , with partner and kids and also obsessed ! Just love it . Beautifully cast , acted & produced. It’s the cutest show on TV! Some serious talent in the cast. I watched it to make sure it was ok for my 10 year old (it is ) . Such a beautiful portrayal of friendship and early relationships.
I keep recommending it to everyone and it’s the only show I’ve ever repeat watched - it’s like a great big hug!
