That Victoria Beckham is actually not ageing?

Love her or loathe her how is she looking so young?

Even with plastic surgery, great facials, Botox etc etc you normally see age around eyes, sagging skin on neck and chest, changes in tone and texture on skin.

But she looks about 25! She doesn’t have a wrinkle on her and that’s with being incredibly slim which is normally quite ageing close up. Her body is as youthful as her face.

She is the same age as me and I alway regret not having better skincare when I see her but I just do not know how she looks that good.

AIBU to be impressed even though I know she’s spent a fortune in time and money on herself.

I read once that she’s very self conscious about her smile and hates it hence the permanent pouty moody look.

shame as I think she has a lovely smile and it lights her face up much better than the pursed lips look

That's a terrible shame! Everyone's smile is lovely! Poor woman, that actually makes me feel a bit sorry for her.

Benjispruce4 · 30/01/2023 20:24

48 can still pass muster. Give it a few more years!😂

VladmirsPoutine · 30/01/2023 20:30

She looks amazing but she certainly looks her age, good for her age indeed but she's clearly in her 40s Confused

She looks her age. Obviously well groomed, bit of Botox but you can see lines. Hope she doesn’t overdo it.

It shows in her neck in this picture, I think

IheardYouButDontWantToAnswer · 30/01/2023 20:39

Victoria Beckham is too thin, obviously has Botox, and her mouth looks odd, so she's had something done there. With all her money, anyone could look good.

LadyVictoriaSponge · 30/01/2023 20:46

She always looks nice and well groomed but I agree that she does look frail, at 48 she can get away with it just, but once she is in her fifties/ approaches 60, looking frail will be incredibly ageing, there is so much more to looking youthful than lines on your face, its in the way you move and carry yourself and looking healthy, fit snd strong. Looking frail and as if your bones will break if you fall over is not youthful.

No they couldnt.

I could afford pretty much any cosmetic treatment but I have neither the energy nor the organisation to spend that much time on myself. I can’t be arsed really. Im too lazy about it all and/or it isn’t my priority.

Nor do I have the Will power to eat that well and to put my make up on and style my hair daily.

Nor do I naturally have her shape and bone structure.

She may well have everything at her disposal but she also clearly works hard and is dedicated to her looks.

I always feel a bit sorry for her. She always looks under tremendous pressure to be thin and posing all the time, it must be exhausting. I'd love to see her look happy and genuinely smiling.

PrincessHoneysuckle · 30/01/2023 20:55

She looks like a Fraggle now she's ruined herself

Shoogly · 30/01/2023 20:55

teomama · 30/01/2023 19:36

When I see pictures of her and her little girl, it always baffles me how she looks thinner than her daughter (who is about 10 y.o.)

Exactly. It's not the face that freaks me out, it's the fact that she's smaller than her child.

ArtVandalay · 30/01/2023 20:56

I bet she smiles in private all the time. People that know her say she’s great fun.

She didn’t photograph well when smiling - it’s a fact and she’s had decades of learning what looks good for her in photos.

She may be thin, but she’s also really fit and toned. I hate people saying she’s ‘too thin’, she is just in good shape and knows she has to look good in her clothing brand. She doesn’t have the advantage of height to help the clothes look their best. I saw her once in M&S and was surprised - she’s pretty short.

JaneJeffer · 30/01/2023 20:58

Everyone is ageing.

MissHavishamsMouldyOldCake · 30/01/2023 21:02

I feel that the truly stylish have a bit of swagger about them and don't fret about always having the perfect pose. Sometimes it feels like her clothes wear her rather than the other way round.

Isn’t she about 5’7? I wouldn’t call that short.

ArtVandalay · 30/01/2023 21:07

No, she’s 5’4 max, I reckon.

EnrichedAtrixo · 30/01/2023 21:09

No, she’s taller than me and I’m 5’5. There are a lot of articles saying she’s 5’4 but seem to be copied from each other. According to this article, she’s 5’6.

I've met her several times and she's about 5'4. Definitely not 5'6!!

EffortlessDesmond · 30/01/2023 21:19

I've never been a (musical) fan of the Spice Girls, but I have a lot of time for VB. I don't care about her looks, although they are clearly important to Brand Beckham. But she's navigating the ageing process in the public eye very intelligently.

ArtVandalay · 30/01/2023 21:23

There’s no way she’s 5’6. I’m a smidge over 5’8 and she was waaay shorter than me when I saw her.

JaneJeffer · 30/01/2023 21:27

What does that mean?

Cosmetic surgery can literally change your entire face. Look at before and after photos of kylie Jenner- she looks like a completely different person. Now obviously that’s not something most people want to undertake or even agree with or could be bothered to do but I honestly think you are underestimating the effects that specific procedures can have. You might not want to do it and that’s perfectly understandable but plastic surgery, fillers and other procedures can make a massive difference in a person’s appearance. Fillers (well done ones) for example can give the appearance of cheek bones where they aren’t naturally prominent. Kylie Jenner’s face has gone from being square shaped to heart shaped as an example. It’s really quite astonishing

Shoogly · 30/01/2023 20:55

Exactly. It's not the face that freaks me out, it's the fact that she's smaller than her child.

Why shouldn't she be smaller than her child? I'm completely dwarfed by my children in every possible way. My DD weighed more than I do when she was 10, and was taller than I am now. There's nothing odd about this. There are two parents' genes involved in creating a child!

The picture that Nellie posted is not flattering, but it just goes to show how awful it is for a woman in the public eye. Nobody will ever be posting photos of me on MN to show how old/crap I look (thank God).
