Had them done, no regrets. Hurt like hell.

MaireadMcSweeney · 23/01/2023 20:28

I had one done. Honestly it wasn't very painful at all, but it didn't heal and I got fed up after 5 months of reminding DH not to touch it and took the damn thing out. It looked good though. Bear in mind nipples will be off limits sexually for at least 6 months. That didn't work for me!

LincolnLoopy · 23/01/2023 20:28

did they just use their fingers to pull it? 😂

Mommabear20 · 23/01/2023 20:29

It hurt but not too bad, only took them out when I was trying to breastfeed and unfortunately they healed up quicker than I thought 😩

TheObstinateHeadstrongGirl · 23/01/2023 20:29

It felt like a scratch.

I love mine! It’s easy to maintain and clean

Mamoun · 23/01/2023 20:31

Can you see them under a padless bra?

Muddywoof · 23/01/2023 20:33

I've had a lot of piercings and they were by far the most painful. They never healed and then in pregnancy I gave up on them. I would never have it done again, they did look good though.

I’ve had mine done 4 times…. Two in each nipple all done at once. Honestly, my earlobe piercing hurt a lot more than anywhere else.

I have extremely reactive/sensitive nipples and found them fine.

Beware of shower scrunchies though, I’ve caught mine in them a few times and that hurt.

Yeah, be very aware of shower scrunchies. Ouch!
Piercings themselves were almost painless.

not much I'd only say yes if your top was tight

LincolnLoopy · 23/01/2023 20:38

yeah shower scrunchies & catching it on a door is more painful than actually getting it done

Thedruidandmage · 23/01/2023 20:38

Had mine done when I was 18 - piercing was very quick and was one of my less painful ones.

Like another poster I also managed to tear mine out - but even then I didn't feel the pain I thought I would! It wasn't pretty while it was healing though 😂

Hurts like a fucking bugger and mine never healed and I had to take them out.

Same here. The pain was relatively short lived but they never healed and were therefore pointless having.

Jdjdntbhh · 23/01/2023 20:40

Mine was fine it was a needle with a tube attached (20 something years ago) had the top of ear done with a gun and that was agony and didn’t heal and had to take out after a couple of months

no effect to bf

CatchHimDerry · 23/01/2023 20:41

I had one done, wasn’t any more painful than any other piercing

Hurts like a bitch catching it on things as PP says

i also had trouble with healing though it was always weepy for about the 15 years or so I had it in

Removed it when pregnant so I could BF, don’t miss it

Soubriquet · 23/01/2023 20:41

Nope. Dh had one of his pierced and he keeps floating the idea of getting it back. He had to take it out due to work and never got round to putting it back in.

Itgoesalittlesomethinglikethis · 23/01/2023 20:45

Had upper ear done (terrible pain had to take out in end). Belly button no pain and was quite giddy in fact. Post pregnancies it's really not a good look (at all). The rebel in me wouldn't mind trying it but I also think, surely this one would hurt? I just read about clit piercing and felt like fainting.

overthink4r · 23/01/2023 20:46

Had both done, twice ( removed first time when BF), they didn't hurt at all and healed fine but after them getting caught on clothing over the years or by my hubby I ended up developing a fear and a weird sensitivity to the point I would feel sick. To this day I now don't like my breasts or nipples being touched despite them being removed.

I got my belly re pierced after pregnancy and it actually looks ok. The skin between the bar is definitely thinner this time round though ☺️

GingerLiberalFeminist · 23/01/2023 20:52

I had one done twenty years ago. It hurt, a lot. You won't be able to lay on your front for a few weeks.

However I'm posting to make sure you are aware of the other complications that can arise after piercing. 10 years ago I developed a recurrent abcesdt in my pieced breast, which took hospitalisation and antibiotics to make it go away.
www.sciencedirect.com/topics/medicine-and-dentistry/nipple-piercing

Having recently had a child, I now find the milk supply in the pierced breast is significantly reduced due to the abcesses, which is indirectly from the piercing.

Please do be aware!

Rebel2023 · 23/01/2023 20:55

Had them both done at 18, easiest piercing to heal
Would say less painful than VCH

OrangeKettle · 23/01/2023 21:00

Had one done at first. I was expecting the worst. It was fine! So I got the other one done. That one hurt a bit more. It’s been 6 weeks. So far, so good (hopefully not famous last words!)

Batshitkerazy · 23/01/2023 21:06

Didn’t have a problem with either nipple or VCH, nipple was a bit painful when being done but over in 5 seconds. Both healed really well and I have no regrets, although I did take out VCH

CriticalAlert · 23/01/2023 21:09

I have fallen on the floor.......

U2HasTheEdge · 23/01/2023 21:11

It hurt! It was a horrible pain, but over very very quickly. It didn't hurt after at all, but the pain while having it done, although quick, was awful.

It never healed and I ended up having to take it out, which is a shame as I really liked it.
